Jerrance is what? 28? 29? If Illinois fans want to keep saying he is too young, he will go somewhere else and get a head coach job. Probably at a mid major, and than Illinois will lose him for good, most likely. He has been an assistant for 5 years at Illinois, plus 2 before that elsewhere. I don't think it would be an awful idea to give him the job. How old was Brad Stevens when he took over at Butler? There are oung coaches everywhere now, even in the NBA.

If Illinois were to win a conference tournament, that would mean they would probably be a top 3 seed in conference and from then on, winning said conference tourney would propel them to maybe a #4 seed in the tournament and an Elite 8 game maybe.
