QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 30, 2012 -> 11:29 AM) Will Ferrel is always hilarious when I see him on shows (his recent appearance on The Daily Show was fantastic) but he always does the dumbest movies. He's on the Adam Sandler path. Same material, new movie. I was never much of an Anchorman fan so don't care about sequel.
  3. I hope Viciedo is more fun to watch than frsutrating. Not too encouraged by his spring. He was practically outplayed by Jordan Danks.
  4. Taking the leap and getting a Sale T-shirt.
  5. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) I'm making a bunch of assumptions here but... Assuming no attrition from the current roster except Leonard, and assuming Hill and James stay committed in the Class of '13, Illinois has 6 scholarships for '13 and '14 (Leonard, Head, DJ, Paul, Griffey, Bertrand). With Hill and James already in the fold, that leaves 4. In that scenario, I assume that Groce tries to take 4 in '13 and 2 in '14, leaving one ride free for Parker until the end. In that scenario, how do you take Nunn? I always assumed that the committment of Hill meant that Nunn was going elsewhere? I could be wrong on this assumption, but that would be a lot of guards in one class (granted, the highly ranked early guys in '14 are bigs and you have a guard oriented offense now, but my point stands). Still, good to hear the continued positive feedback about Groce. Seems to be a lot of excitement about his offense. I thought Crandall Head left.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) To be fair to him, he had to carry Wes through the finale last time, literally carry. That was Kenny.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 02:02 PM) I kept thinking that CT was gonna turn it up right when Camilla and Bananas caught up to him and that he would be able to beat Camilla because she looked gassed too. Camilla was smart to keep that pick ax as a cane. Anyone else notice it looked like she has mouth herpes or something on her confessional stuff?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) Bananas is just small enough to float through the snow while CT sank to the bottom. I loved when Emily asked Ty if he wanted her to carry the log. Emily's my girl. That last night, was brutal. Almost too much.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 09:15 AM) [nobodycares] I am actually optimistic about Barry Hinson taking over SIU after thinking about it for a while. He had a couple seasons at MSU where he was screwed out of a tournament with some pretty good teams RPI-wise(21 and 37 I believe), and just happened to be sitting behind SIU and Creighton on the tourney waiting list. He has already talked to the returning class of players and none are leaving, and it seems he has also convinced Antonio "Bobo" Drummond to honor his LOI, which for SIU is a pretty big deal. Looks like the only one leaving is the JUCO recruit Travis Wilkens, which isnt really terrible. [/nobodycares] It's the kind of hire I was expecting. Hopefully he can get things turned around and be competitive in the conference again. Hope he lets Diamond Taylor play and not jerk him around like CLo
  10. Ty Issac from Joliet Catholic is considering Michigan. Holy crap. Kid is a beast. Doesn't belong in high school football.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 02:29 AM) It is indeed sad that we have to call for the likes of Theus. However, if Illinois isn't a top 15 job, is ISU a top 115 job? Not taking sides, but one was closer to the NCAA Tourney than the other this year. Much closer.
  12. 2 boring offenses going at it.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) Wow CT... I'm too distraught to talk about it right now. Too soon.
  14. Jerrance is what? 28? 29? If Illinois fans want to keep saying he is too young, he will go somewhere else and get a head coach job. Probably at a mid major, and than Illinois will lose him for good, most likely. He has been an assistant for 5 years at Illinois, plus 2 before that elsewhere. I don't think it would be an awful idea to give him the job. How old was Brad Stevens when he took over at Butler? There are oung coaches everywhere now, even in the NBA.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 03:53 PM) I'm 7 epi's deep in 3 days. Just a great show. I can see why some people like GOT, but I stopped after 5 episodes last year. Just not my type of material.
  16. If Illinois were to win a conference tournament, that would mean they would probably be a top 3 seed in conference and from then on, winning said conference tourney would propel them to maybe a #4 seed in the tournament and an Elite 8 game maybe. Its just funny that some Illini fans think they are too good for Groce. That cracks me up.

    Steve, anything important on tonight?
  18. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) So do these two teams go back playing in spring training now? It's a 3 game series

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 10:30 AM) And just think, we were jazzed about Rossum getting nekked all the time, and that has been pretty much nonexistant, lol. That show has me sucked in, each character has such unique depth. They all love and hate Frank and Monica so much..... Lip is by far my favorite character Shameless is one of the few shows where I watch the opening credits. That song gets stuck in my head. You summed it up pretty well. I remember seeing the commercials when the show first aired and recognized Lip from a cellular phone commercial. Who would know that the kid would be playing one of the best characters on TV.
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) BMac for cy young! Right behind King Felix! Ackley-VP

Sometimes I wonder what Jeremy Davies real voice is. He's good in everything he does.
  22. I could have sworn MLB Network was carrying it LIVE but they just started the replay.
  23. If Cody loses the belt, he should be in the HW title picture right away. But have him lose the IC title to another up and comer. Not Big Show. And FWIW, Cody's theme is one that I pop for when it hits. Sometimes the WWWHHOOOOOaaaaohh gets stuck in my head.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 10:53 PM) Saw The Hunger Games tonight. Went in with low expectations, not having read the book, and with just basic knowledge of the premise. I liked it, didn't love it. It was slow and boring at times. Good movie, but that's about it. Oh, and Jennifer Lawrence is very attractive. I felt the actual Hunger Games was the most boring part. Everything leading up to it had me hooked.
  25. Weather report for Miami on Sunday is interesting. 84 with 30% chance of T-storms
