  1. I see us getting 1 run on 12 hits tonight.
  2. Only an idiot would blame Wise for that error...Morgan.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 05:41 PM) Worst case scenario is if Tigers are 5 back after tonight. Everyone keeps saying that if the Sox get swept tonight, this will be the series everyone talks about. However, it was the series last week at Detroit which could have turned the Tigers season around. Easily. As for Verlander's stuff, he is still a tad wild. He threw 106 pitches in just 5 innings today. I think everyone here will agree that Detroit is the biggest threat right now.

  5. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 05:15 PM) "You should go to the American League and you'll see more potent lineups," Vazquez said. ^^ Put up or shut up time for Javy. Ozzie better be captain hook today and not let things get ugly in a 5 minute time span like yesterday. I caught the 4th inning yesterday and thought Jim Parque was back. I haven't followed either team much, but the Cubs look good. Why don't our guys just shut up and play ball?
  6. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Jun 22, 2008 -> 09:11 AM) A thread started by Johnny negative himself, man this cant be good I'm glad you said it.
  7. I don't want to be swept by anybody.
  8. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 06:41 PM) Make a play for Reggie Willits... Yawn.

Love these Cub fans I know who I don't talk baseball with and never ever have rubbed a Cubs loss in their face, and they start texting me out of nowhere, furthering my feelings that I hate Cub fans more than the team itself.
  10. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) Do I have to keep going? Now compare BA to Luis Terrero!

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 03:01 PM) This is on Jose, no doubt about it. He just doesn't have it and hasn't had it for the last 3-4 starts now. Probably not a coincedence that the weather has heated up around baseball, and the bats are getting a bit looser If Jose sh*ts the bed in his next start, I think we can pretty much stick a fork in him Jose's last 4 starts before today. vs. Colorado, 6.2 innings, 3ER vs. Detroit, 6 IP, 6 ER vs. KC, 7IP, 1 ER Detroit was bad. That is it.
  12. Female soccer fans rule.
  13. DeWayne is a 30 year old, minor league, journey man. He hit a nice homer today, but is no way the answer.
  14. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) I had my sister-in-law call up with my nephews singing that song 5 minutes ago. I told them that I was at a world series game and watched a winner. Tell her kids to get a shovel to go to the cemetary to dig up someone who can say the same on the north side. Ha. The lyrics to that song are so far off. It makes no sense to play it after wins. Sweet Home Chicago or something like that is more fitting.
  15. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) When did Howrys fastball become the single most devastating pitch in the history of baseball? Jesus, everyones fouling it back.......and it's the only pitch he has thrown this entire inning. Hawk told me that the best pitch in baseball is a well located fastball.
  16. If Thome starts at 1st at all for interleague, I riot.
  17. Masset and Russell seem to have pitched well today. Too bad neither were up in the 4th.
  18. Hasn't Kiko been hurt a lot recently? I remember with the Cardinals, he was awesome.
  19. No need to try and work a count in that situation.
  20. We'll probably lose 10-9 and that will really amplify Ozzie leaving Jose into die.
  21. Uribe has Lenny Harris shaking in his boots.
  22. Anytime we want pitch these guys inside would be nice.
  23. I was fine with what Ozzie did yesterday, but the way he just handled Jose was pretty hypocritical.
  24. Let's try reverse psychology...Leave him in!
  25. Get the hook. He is pitching like a sissy.
