You're asking for that to happen when you walk the leadoff man in an inning...Ruiz isn't the guy I bring in when I am down one run when I am struggling to score.

That's what doesn't make sense regarding some of the pitching decisions. When we are struggling to score runs I don't want to see the bottom guys from our bullpen pitching when we are down a run.

Yes, if you want to test Ruiz in higher leverage situations do it against the Tigers, not the friggin Yankees.

ok, then 3 out of their top 5 outfielders. Will you accept Engel is one of their top 5 outfielders? Also, Engel is either the best or 2nd best defensive outfielder on the team.

Agreed, I am pretty sure if you remove 3 of the top 4 outfielders from any team what would be left wouldn't be too impressive. Need to be thankful we are in the division we are in, even with injuries still have a shot.

Have watched 40+ years of White Sox baseball...one thing I have learned for sure is only a fool would think they are some sort of lock to win the division. Also, I never said they can't win the division.

Not even sure they would be .500...thankfully we are in the dumpster fire division. Not sure we can even win this poor division, but all it gets you is a short stay in the playoffs anyways.

Unlikely Degrom will be going anywhere. Mets under new ownership and the expectation is that new owner will be spending where they are one of the highest payrolls year in year out.
