Generally I agree late in the season, but see your point. With two regulars out and going with a four man bench vs. three, the flexibility between taking advantage of matchups and rotating 1-2 spots helps.

One spot per game is fine, Collins a game a series, Mendick RF or INF, OF rotation once Engel returns. Pitcher for ? on roster in the interim. Prefer 5-7 runs a game, not 9-9-3, 9-9-2.
