  1. It should have been a hit and run. Maldonado has a cannon and a straight steal is dicey at best.
  2. Sheets D at first is much worse than Jose.
  3. TA also needs more patience. He just swung at a slider 6 inches off the plate to Strikeout.
  4. I am glad Goodwin is off the roster. His defense does not belong in the playoffs, and he has not been hitting well lately. Also prevents TLR to use him.
  5. Agree. We need to work the count and avoid swinging at sliders outside the zone. My second big concern are issues related to the running game or lack thereof on the Sox side. Need to have more runners in motion than in the regular season ,and avoid double plays. On the other side, we need to keep opposing runners well checked as we probably have the worst catchers defense in the playoffs. Opponents will try to run us out of the park. We will need to minimize walks and base runners thru excellent pitching. IMO.
  6. It would be brutal in many other ways beyond Jose. Pitó is also Spanish slang for penis.
  7. HadAbreu being reported havingCOVID before?
  8. Hawks regained popularity after they started broadcasting games locally, after old man Wirtz passed away.
  9. If that would be the case, I would prefer to go to a sports bar to watch the game instead.
  10. Lots of Italian Americans in Northeast.
  11. Ángel Hernández has an assignment. Fortunately is in an NL game.
  12. MLB/TV networks want to minimize going head on against college and NFL weekend football.
  13. Even if Yankees lose, Yankee fans will be tuning in to Red Sox games to root against them.
  14. Many will need to put their DVR in use.
  15. Cubs have been sucking up all the Chicago air in the last few years, but tables are beginning to turn the Sox’s way.
  16. Don’t we have hitting coaches?
  17. I believe the Sox pitching is leading the majors in strike outs. We should have an advantage there.
  18. I hope you are right. Part of my opinion is based on the White Sox having the best home record in the AL, and they are the only team in the playoffs with a losing record on the road. Food for thought.
  19. Hope you are right. White Sox could use more national exposure. We have lot o f talent to showcase.
  20. TLR may live to regret. it. I think it was a big blunder not to go for HFA. Hope I am wrong.
  21. Except in HFA which could be the difference.
  22. And hit into that LF porch a few times.
  23. Don’t forget Boston Red Sox is a big national brand, so we can’t assume that the Sox game will have preference on TV. These schedules are dictated by the TV stations.
  24. This is another reason why we needed to win HFA. If first game would have been at GRF we would be a heavy favorite not a heavy underdog in Houston. What good would resting our stars and punting so many games be, if we do not go beyond five games. What good was to overpay for Kimbrel if we don’t go beyond the Houston series. This why the HFA should have been an integral part of our strategy.
  25. Congrats to the Sox on their successful season. Wanted to give my grades on the Sox season. - Offense At full strength. A-. Weak links: Cesar, AV, Goodwin, Billy, Collins - Defense. C. Weak links at LF, RF and C. - Starting pitchers A. (A+ without Keuchel). - Relievers. A-. (A without Wright, Foster, Ruiz) - Manager/coaches. C. Many inexplicable decisions and too many punted games. - season success. A Overall grade. A-
