It is shame because the Sox needed to hit homers in order to win,with our station to station, no running offense , and hitting into double plays instead. I am really pissed that we never hit and ran with Abreu at the plate leading the majors in double plays hit. TLR never adjusted.

Fans are an important Sox stakeholder, so there should be a consultation. I venture to say that the majority of fans would want another manager. Players are not going to publicly be against TLR in case he is back. I myself don’t think I can take another season with TLR as manager. There is at least one screw up in each game. You have to be masochistic to put up with that.

Grandal could be DH and backup catcher. We will need to sign a good defensive catcher that can throw runners out. And we need to coach our pitching staff to keep runners close IMO.

Could you pls list the positive contributions that TLR has made this season that would justify him coming back. We have played .500 baseball sinceASB, didn’t go aggressively for HFA, too many Sunday lineups and Keuchel starts, kind of sucked in the playoffs. I think we need a change.

Main problem with our catchers is that we can’t throw any runners out. Our pitchers do not keep runners close either. In game today, the Astros are running us out of the park. We need to get an excellent defensive catcher that we can play in key games, key situations and then use Grandal as DH.

2 big double plays from Abreu and Eloy hurt. Double plays have been the Sox Achilles Heel this season. TLR has not adjusted with some hit and runs or even straight steals. Abreu has led the majors in DPs hit the last 3 years. Help him out with some hit and runs, which also pressures the defense and open holes in the infield.

Issue with our pitching today were bad decisions and bad pitch selections. Challenging hitters with fastballs in game situations with pitchers with great sliders. Letting Rodon pitch to Correa with the bases loaded. A fastball right down the middle to Maldonado for a hit and RBI and pitch to Bregman throwing him a fastball 3-0. Results of these three actions was 5 runs.
