  1. The optimist in me is saying this is a repeat of 2012 but this time the White Sox are the Tigers. The Record is comparable. And the Twins could be the 2012 White Sox. Like I think they have a really good chance of running out of gas by the end of the season. I think the moves were solid. This team should be playing a lot better than it is. I do think they should have gone after a 2nd Baseman. I'm ok with Pollock and think he'll turn it around. At what point do you blame front office and what point do you blame players for straight up underperforming?
  2. More Hit and runs!! Seriously!
  3. Also May 9th when...... oh wait never mind.
  4. Where's my disastre personal shirt.
  5. One of the dumbest plays I have ever seen.
  6. If AJ hits a home run, I'll take it.
  7. I don't understand why you don't put Hendriks or Gravesman out there.
  8. I fully expect teh White Sox to be in First Place by the time I see them in New York.
  9. TLR is a genius I guess.
  10. Yes. I think he got one last year. But I'm pretty sure it was a low leverage.
  11. Why Ruiz and not Gravesman?
  12. Remember Thornton's old nickname, Matty Ice? Foster might be the new Matty Ice.
  13. Yeah. I was listening on the radio. If they were tough luck hits, I get it. That should be his last inning. If this is the Keuchel we see more often, Sox have a really good problem on their hands. I would consider doing a six man rotation.
  14. TLR ignoring analytics on this sinks Keuchel's really good outing.
  15. MOncada can't come back soon enough.
  16. And yet they made the plays? If they don't make the plays, it's an issue. If they do, it's kind of moot. I do wish Leury were at 2nd today and Engel in Left. I have less of an issue with Sheets being in Right.
  17. TO be honest, I think this is a better team on paper than it is last year. The one area I am concerned about is depth. But the injuries that the White Sox have had to overcome in the first half are pretty extreme. And I am not sure many teams would have had the depth to overcome them. Having said that, if this is the real Velezquez that we are seeing, the Front Office did their job in finding a good starting pitcher. I honestly think a lot of the complaints of the White Sox can be applied to the Red Sox. They got lucky and made some good acquisitions at the Trade deadline last year. HOwever they did nothing to fill the holes that those acquisitions left and they did nothing to improve their bullpen and it's now a disaster. The Red Sox are going to finish way under .500 this year because they don't have the talent to be a playoff team.
  18. To be honest, if Keuchel get's shelled in this outing, I think he'll be removed from the rotation.
  19. I am curious to see Stoney and Bennetti attempt to be neutral today.
  20. Sign of a great pitcher is what they do without their best stuff.
  21. So.... knock on wood but I think we were wrong. May, outisde of the Yankees, is actually a pretty easy month for us. The Red Sox are a bad and poorly constructed team. We can give Hahn crap but the fact is, even on paper, the Red Sox are lacking. Sox can have a big month this month.
  22. If he can continue this and Keuchel can't get his act together, I''m for cutting Keuchel when Lynn gets back.
  23. Sano being injured and their pitching is starting to come back to earth.
