I get it but Mune also has an elite eye at the plate. We haven't had someone like him since Dunn. And when Dunn was healthy, like in 2012, he was pretty phenomenal. I remember Getz saying that he didn't have a problem with the strikeouts because he knew he would also get close to that in walks. I think the better way to Judge him is by .ops. His .ops is pretty high. The new CHSN podcast has a great interview with the hitting coach going over his process. They've really worked with the players on being patient and forcing pitchers to work deep into counts.

Yeah that's been a complete misreading of pretty much every move he's made. Only player I can think of who brought in in his image was Acuna. Getz has made a conscious effort to get fly ball hitters who are patient at the plate.

Interesting that the contact hitter who hit 3 home runs in his career seems to understand how to put together a team that is built to hit home runs but previous GM who preached this didn't.
