  1. This game reminded me of last years postseason. A good tight game where the sox get some clutch hits. Props to Garcia for keeping us in the game at least. Maybe it's due to low expectations but I am pretty pleased with this game sans the gaffe in the first inning.
  2. QUOTE(loltrain @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 04:28 PM) Verlander's next start will be skipped to rest him/keep his innings down. Wilfredo Ledezma will take his place for that turn in the rotation. Verlander's next start will now be against you guys... Pretty smart. Rest the young guy while there is a big lead and keep him fresh for the playoffs. IIRC, didn't he have a two week layoff at the all star break as well?
  3. Good for him, glad he got picked up by another team.
  4. There is lots to do around the stadium in terms of bars and other stuff. Saw a couple of games up there last month and had a great time. Have a good time.
  5. Usually a when a hitting streak reaches 30 than I am interested. I saw two of Utley's games during the streak so I am selfishly more interested than I usually would be.
  6. QUOTE(loltrain @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 10:48 PM) McClung has nasty stuff, dissapointing we couldn't score against Meadows and Seo though. My boss is a huge Tigers fan and Upon seeing that Seo was pitching I was like "ehhh it's only a half a game gained". Baseball is a funny game though. I'm amazed that Jason Davis actually closed out a game against the heart of the red sox order.
  7. I mainly watch TNA. WWF (E) hasn't been that good since the WCW merger. I love me some old school wrestling though. I was at the first ever TNA non-Orlando House show and will be at the first ever non-Orlando ppv.
  8. Tigs actually lose tonight. I'm surprised that he Rays' pen could hold the lead.
  9. I like Beckett for what he did in 03. However, he does not scare me right now if the white sox had to face him in a regular season game or a playoff situation. Welcome to the AL Beckett.
  10. 2 out 3 looks doable. The blue jays are fading and its time to show that the sox are in it till the end by knocking out a "contender". A sweep would be great!
  11. The pitching matchup on Saturday looks to be a classic.
  12. Even if the tigers somehow don't make the postseason it still has to be Leyland. A possible .500 team on paper last year only won 71 but who knows how many they will have this year.
  13. I had to work during the the playoffs last year due to working as a pa at a tv station. I got to watch the games but didn't get to fully enjoy watching them. Thats why I want to see another title come this year to celebrate it the right way!
  14. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) So what's worse, the Vazquez trade or the Todd Ritchie trade? Vazquez
  15. Vazquez exceded my expectations of him after six. Why bring him out for one more?
  16. Only three runs given up by Vazquez is pretty good in my book. A quality start by him against a good team is rare.
  17. I just fired off a few hundred, hope AJ gets voted in.
  18. Keep it up. One down. Twelve in a row for the pirates!!!!!
  19. The braves add an insurance run on the yankees. 3-1 in the 8th
  20. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) he sounds like porky f***in pig...blababababab good pitch he sounds like gary from teh howard stern show. No joke, one of their comeback wins in Tampa Bay brought out the best/worst in the guy. He kept predicting that Detroit would sacrifice but when they didn't, he yelled "ha ha ha ha ha, fooled ya Tampa!" when Detroit scored the game tying run. I can't think of any homer that would come up with something as lame as that one.
