Do you guys really think we stand a chance in Game Six? I just can't see Philly quitting all of a sudden. We never beat them at Wakovia. I'm hoping but truly do any of you think we stand a reasonable chance? I think it's similar to Game Five only Philly's way and we gots to go to a Game 7. How can you think otherwise? Philly isn't all of a sudden going to tank. Philly has been a resilient lot the entire playoffs why stop in Game Six now? We're going to have to buckle down and win Game 7 in Chicago me thinks. You??

If you really feel Peavy is this bad and has no value, I'm assuming you are in the fire KW camp as well as fire Oz camp. Because if Peavy is at the point scouts would be dumb to want him, then we can assume that was the worst trade in White Sox history. I still can't imagine one of the wealthy teams not thinking he could help them, just because he's Peavy. Has his value dropped that far because of his horrendous season?

Aside from opening day, this season has been a total disaster and utterly boring and frustrating both.

Our manager is a rich former player with a huge ego. The Sox knew that when they hired him. It's not like he needs the job. The fire Oz rants really are as boring as my save Ozzie rants. We know you hate him. People tell me to stop beating the dead horse. What about the Ozzie haters. Yes, we know, you feel he sucks in all regards. Hopefully you guys will get your wish. The next manager will never say anything controversial (most don't) and it'll be back to the dull coachspeak many of you apparently so desire.

OK, then simply fire KW for the nepotism shown when his son, the stiff, was chosen in eighth round. Kid sucks, nobody wanted him. Sox take him in 8th round. Bye bye Kenny for nepotism.

I also applaud your coming around. There's no reason to wait. Start planning on the overhaul, Kenny. Should be interesting to see what fragments remain about Aug. 1. We may not like what we see. Our minor league system is a joke according to many with our top prospects not doing well. Beckham has been miserable. Our beloved starting pitching has been gosh awful and even the much-beloved Thornton sucked today. Wow. It should be so interesting to see what this team looks like in August.

My comment on the Peavy thread was "good for him. Let him go" or something like that. It wasn't anger at anything he said. I don't think he said anything bad at all. I was just saying with that contract, go ahead and dump him like the rest of the high money guys. I've liked Jake's attitude throughout, especially that one stretch when he wanted the ball against the Rays I think it was, instead of taking another day off and letting mark pitch. I like Jake; just don' tlike the results. and wouldn't lose any sleep if KW trades him.

The radical fringe of the internet is different from other brands of fans. Remember that. If they trade Mark, I'd hope they could get a good deal, but after our most recent round of deals I have no more confidence In KW and Oz's judge of talent. I hope he stays. But I'd hope if we deal him we get a lot back. He's going to pitch well again. You can bank that (unless he gets hurt).

Very small sample size? I am one who has continued to say he's a damn good closer all along. Like his whole career! People drive me crazy. What do you expect out of these players? Jenks has been good even this season. Yes HE SUCKS when the score is tied and he enters or when he has a big lead. He's good at closing.

Where's the love for Jenks? He looks awfully good to me. Some people just want to hate and not give him his props like the last 2 outings?

Not pouting. Just realistic about a horrible baseball team. And happy about the Blackhawks' chances. They've had a great postseason no matter what happens but a title would be beautiful.

You realize we just lost 2 of 3 to Cleveland ... again ... and you open a thread like this? We barely win one of the 3 games. And you write this after a game in which Mark sucked again? It is over. Like Ozzie said yesterday, something like, "the offense is s***; or the offense sucks." Also the starting pitching sucks. It is over and it's time to plan the firesale. I still don't think he'll be able to make moves til the traditional trading period near the deadline. He might try, though, if anybody wants our lousy players.

Is it as simply as the Hawks play wide open, they win? There were some wide open, hard shots tonight finally after those 2 frustrating losses in Philly. Hawks looked like the better team tonight. Wonder if we can break the road ice jinx?

Very pleased to say the least. So much fun watching us pepper the goal with shots and be aggressive and the hard check was the play of the game just about. The old clilche, one game at a time. It would surely be nice to win game six cause we'll need to come out of the chute just like we did tonight in Game Seven. How the hell can we win in Philly? I don't think we can. Can you imagine Friday night? Game Seven in Chicago?? Both teams playing balls out hockey? Hope the Hawks realize they need to play with Game Seven intensity in Game Six to stand a chance. History says we can't win in Philly.

Interesting post. I would agree it would be nice to never see Kotsay or Randy on the field again. What's up with Buehrle. Is he this bad? Is he toast? Floyd and Buehrle have really been bad, bad bad. And Jake has been mediocre at best. I'd agree getting rid of Kotsay and Randy would be a start. Of course I hate Omar and Pierre as well and Pierre hasn't been "that" bad.

The Jenks haters amaze me. He's been the least of our problems this year. Way to go Bobby ... uh, again.

Great post. I just thought the word you used applied. I thought Philly was on the attack more than the Hawks in all four games. That's scary you think Game five is an unknown. I was hoping home ice would mean an automatic win.

Why would the security worker tell you something that isn't true? Did he make it up to pull your chain? These rumors never cease to amaze me when those in the know are supposedly involved. I'd call your friend on it because he apparently is CLUELESS.
