I think if we lose the division, nobody will be untouchable in a trade except probably Danks, Floyd, Buehrle, Jenks and Thornton. KW has to keep at least 3 good starters and some semblance of a bullpen. I could easily see Swish and Paulie being shipped. Big name players sound a lot better to teams during the winter meetings. Remember Royals fans wet themselves in glee when Jose Guillen was acquired last winter. Some of vets will draw similar glee in deals this winter ... if we fail to make the playoffs.

Great post. Maybe some of you will get your wish. If we do continue our flame out, Oz is so emotional he probably won't just go disappear for a few weeks. He'll probably either a.) tell the media that KW is free to fire him. b.) say something dumb like KW should fire him. c.) actually quit and go manage another team (whatever you guys think he WOULD immediately get another managing job in the bigs). Oz is an emotional nut so I would suspect if we do get eliminated he might quit or say something so wild KW and Jerry have no choice but to replace him. LaRussa is probably destined to come back and work for Jerry before they both leave baseball.

Wise sucks, but it's another either way Oz gets ripped. Everybody says our style of play can't win in the dome and Wise and Cabrera at least have some wheels. I assume Swish isn't playing. Looks like he's the one guy Oz finally grew sick of trotting out there and sucking on a fairly regular basis.

No problem. I've been trying to be ultra negative the whole series except for my backing of Oz to pull off the reverse jinx, and it's still not working. Do we ever hit homers at the Twink dome? No matter everybody's ranting about lineups, etc., with our team it boils down to home runs and hoping we get the good Dotel, etc. We don't hit homers at the homerdome do we? When we don't homer and homer often, we is done.

OM god. Conventional wisdom is to pull the starters. He makes the bold move of letting them pitch and not bring in setup guys, closers, etc., and gets no credit. Ha. Oz gets ZERO credit from some. Whatever. It's easy to blame the manager, call for the backup QB. When a manager wins like in 05, again, it's "any clown could have led that team to victory."

I've been more negative lately, partly trying to reverse jinx the team. I have been real positve most of the season and I was real positive heading into the series. I want to have to eat my words, believe me.

Kansas City will lose 2 of 3 minimum, likely all 3 to the Twinks. Remember we won 2 of 3 in KC after their seven game win streak. KC truly sucks.

I love the way the Oz haters never mention how close many of those games were in the 05 postseason and how we won all but one of them. Oz pulled the strings every game. I assuming they say I'm living in the past and/or any clown could have made the same moves in 05.

Unfortunately we've only won one in the dome all season. It ain't gonna happen. We needed to win one of the first two. It'll be a zoo in there. The sweep is on and there ain't nothing we can do about it on the road. That said, GO SOX!!!

You act like what I say would be in the total minority anywhere but an internet message board. Can you imagine if Ozzie benched Dye this series?? My god. You go with your studs. How the f*** could you or anybody suggest benching Dye?? Guillen who some on here consider a laughingstock would be considered the laughingstock of pro sports. I don't care if he hasn't had a hit all month. This year he's one of our studs. You don't f***ing bench Jermaine Dye in a series of this magnitude. If after the season you decide he and/or Konkerko/and or Thome are finished, you trade them. As of now you f***ing play them.

If we don't make the playoffs, KW patiently waits til winter and that's when guys like Paulie, Thome, Javy sound good to opposing clubs. s***, Royals fans went crazy when they got Guillen last winter. If we finish this tank job, I would think KW will deal some of the lumbering lugs who clog the basepaths. Whether a better team comes out of this who knows? If we finish this tank job, I wonder if Oz will resign. He's pretty emotional. He'll regret it in a few months ala Bret Favre but I wonder if he'll move on.

I don't know about that. If we had showed some balls and gotten into the playoffs, the Sox-Cubs frenzy would be great and we might actually man up and win the first series. Instead, Minnie has knocked us off.
