  1. OM god. Conventional wisdom is to pull the starters. He makes the bold move of letting them pitch and not bring in setup guys, closers, etc., and gets no credit. Ha. Oz gets ZERO credit from some. Whatever. It's easy to blame the manager, call for the backup QB. When a manager wins like in 05, again, it's "any clown could have led that team to victory."
  2. Wiith all due respect why in the world do you "love" Swish?
  3. I've been more negative lately, partly trying to reverse jinx the team. I have been real positve most of the season and I was real positive heading into the series. I want to have to eat my words, believe me.

Kansas City will lose 2 of 3 minimum, likely all 3 to the Twinks. Remember we won 2 of 3 in KC after their seven game win streak. KC truly sucks.
  5. I love the way the Oz haters never mention how close many of those games were in the 05 postseason and how we won all but one of them. Oz pulled the strings every game. I assuming they say I'm living in the past and/or any clown could have made the same moves in 05.
  6. Unfortunately we've only won one in the dome all season. It ain't gonna happen. We needed to win one of the first two. It'll be a zoo in there. The sweep is on and there ain't nothing we can do about it on the road. That said, GO SOX!!!
  7. You act like what I say would be in the total minority anywhere but an internet message board. Can you imagine if Ozzie benched Dye this series?? My god. You go with your studs. How the f*** could you or anybody suggest benching Dye?? Guillen who some on here consider a laughingstock would be considered the laughingstock of pro sports. I don't care if he hasn't had a hit all month. This year he's one of our studs. You don't f***ing bench Jermaine Dye in a series of this magnitude. If after the season you decide he and/or Konkerko/and or Thome are finished, you trade them. As of now you f***ing play them.
  8. Wow, well said.
  9. Wow. Now it's a race? You gotta be kidding me.
  10. If we don't make the playoffs, KW patiently waits til winter and that's when guys like Paulie, Thome, Javy sound good to opposing clubs. s***, Royals fans went crazy when they got Guillen last winter. If we finish this tank job, I would think KW will deal some of the lumbering lugs who clog the basepaths. Whether a better team comes out of this who knows? If we finish this tank job, I wonder if Oz will resign. He's pretty emotional. He'll regret it in a few months ala Bret Favre but I wonder if he'll move on.
  11. I don't know about that. If we had showed some balls and gotten into the playoffs, the Sox-Cubs frenzy would be great and we might actually man up and win the first series. Instead, Minnie has knocked us off.
  12. Love the enthusiasm, but ain't gonna happen. Twins up by a half game after the sweep. GO SOX!!
  13. You play the guys who brung ya. Dye should play. It's on him if he sucks again.
  14. Well, thanks for representing. We definitely feel your pain. Oh for a win in Game 3 to prolong this agonizing month of contention.
  15. He pretty much has to play Griffey. KW acquired Griffey to put us over the top. The GM acquires the guy; the manager plays him. Granted it must be brutal to watch him play in the dome (I haven't gotten the 2 awful outcomes on TV here) but the manager has to play the guys the GM acquires.
  16. Great, if by some miracle we play that game, fat Freddy will no hit us. We Sox fans are paying the price for winning it all in '05. This season has been pretty painful despite our excellent overall won/loss record.
  17. It didn't work. It failed this time. So the answer to your question is No, at least not this week. I still say it was worth a shot. Maybe if he shut up, Javy would have felt less pressure and cruised. Hard to say.
  18. This team has sucked all of September for the most part. Sucked on the road for a long long time especially against decent to good teams. My only hope for tomorrow is that Minnesota has played like dung all month as well and shouldn't take all 3. They should s*** themselves one game of the three. We would not have swept them in the Cell. With full houses each day, we'd have won 2 of 3 maybe.
  19. What have the first 2 been like in person? Are the fans mocking us? It seems we've given their fans absolutely no reason this season to think we'll ever beat them in that dome. I'd think it's a big party in the dome. We come in there and we're the guests who let the hosts put on quite a party.
  20. Too late for such histrionics. Just win, baby.
  21. Our pitching held them tonight and we lost. Odds ain't good. Let's hope Twins for once play like the mediocre team they are and we salvage one game.
  22. Ouch. It will take a minor miracle after the sweep.
  23. No offense, but Floyd is due to get roughed up in a "big" game. I pray otherwise, but I sense an 11-1, 12-1 laugher. Our only hope is to get back home, sweep and hope Meche and Greinke have something left.
  24. I'm more sad than anything else. It's no fun for your team to lay over and die again in the Humpdome. The Twins simply aren't that good.
  25. We rarely win when we don't hit multiple home runs. Case closed. As far as turning over the roster, when we don't make the playoffs that probably will happen. KW better make smart moves, though. There's no guarantee switching philosophies to a speedier team will help us in the standings. Two runs in such a big game? Ridiculous.
