No; a team 30+ games over .500 should be able to beat a team that came into the series 15 games back and was consistently sub-mediocre. That's not news. The other way around certainly is. That's a crummy way to look at our sweep. Good job, SOX!

I'm sick of hearing about the 69 Cubs. We may blow it but I don't think we're choking. That lineup we had out there today was a very ordinary baseball team. We at this moment do miss Maggs, Thomas, Lee and the reduced production of our guys with sore backs! We are not chokers. We are what we are. I still think we're gonna win the division. If we get in the playoffs we're only gonna win if Mark, Freddie and Jon pitch well and we catch the ball.

The Indians are probably worthy of a thread. I'd love for some of the people I really respect on here to compare our teams and tell me what's up with the Tribe. Is this a powerhouse squad that slumped early and now is gonna storm to the World Series title via either the division crown or wildcard? Or is this team a hot team that will falter soon? Are these guys the new Twins, set to dominate for years to come? Thanx.

That's the definition of choking. Why do you think the team is choking? It's not like this lineup is the 27 Yankees and it's not like our pitching is that great. We are what we are. We probably overachieved some early. If the Indians keep winning all but one game a week the rest of the way we probably will blow the division lead. If they play normal ball we won't. I do not think we're choking. We're beat up; Garland is slumping, i wouldn't say choking; Mark is not dominating and many of our hitters had sucked of late prior to the DH.

If we lose both ends of the twinbill and the Indians win ... I wonder if some Sox fans are gonna be jumping off buildings. I wrote this in an attempt to garner a reverse jinx.

why are some so obsessed with santana vs. buehrle. Ok, santana is better. so what. Mark is still damn good and we're not going to get Santana anytime soon. We need Freddie, Mark and Jon to start dominating like the first half or we might blow this division lead. I'm banking on Cleveland cooling off at some point. If Cleveland keeps winning 8 or 9 of every 10 they probaby will overtake us. I just don't think the Tribe will do that, but who knows?

I just don't understand. I've never heard fans argue against their own players so much. Players who play on teh best team in teh AL no less. the bashing isn't as bad if we win.

We're playing bad baseball and we're beaten up physically. Not a good combinatoin. Will we still win the division? I say yes.

Big big win after Oz left Duque in maybe too long. a.) We still win and maybe like Hawk said the confidence Oz showed in Duke will pay off in playoffs/Series. b.) We hang in there and play well in extra inns and win on Iguchi's blast. Big hit by a guy not hitting all that well since the break. c.) Anderson! Wow. d.) Hermy closes it off nicely. We win on a night we again hit poorly most of the game. Big win.
