  1. IMO, The number one obstacle standing in the way of the Sox and their first trip to the World Series in 473240464604 years is Ozzie. Good God. Perhaps Ozzie is a reason we are 40 games over 500 and maybe getting in the playoffs for once. We haven't done it with our other skippers of late. We may not make the Series, but it won't be because of MANAGER OF THE YEAR Guillen. Who do you want managing this team? Bevington? Lamont? Buddah?
  2. Just saw a replay of the game after Marte plunked Stairs. Looks like Ozzie really let him have it. Seems like he is trying to get Marte to grow some balls and pitch to lefties better again. See, this is why I love Ozzie. His personality is why we are so many games over .500. It's easy to second guess moves. He manages the guys KW gives him. If KW doesn't want Marte in the game, get rid of Marte. I personally dislike Viz the most of our pen. Marte has talent; he's just sucking.
  3. You guys are acting like he brought in Viz, who truly is a stiff. Marte has talent. That wicked curve ball. It ain't Oz's fault he must be a headcast beaning two straight guys.
  4. Why is it little league managing? If Marte is horses*** get rid of him. It's the GM's job, not Ozzie's.
  5. Oz may make mistakes but this team has no business having the record it has! Oz is manager of the year, folks.
  6. Yeah, Ozzie really blew that shutout. Take a chill pill!! We are 36 over .500
  7. You dont put the winning run on second base. You pitch to him!!!
  8. How does he mismanage the pen every night? He uses the guys on the roster. Blame Kenny.
  9. If Marte can't pitch to lefties then we should release him now. Can Dustin do the job?
  10. Why do you blame Ozzie? It's Marte who f***ed up. He can't pitch to the fricking Royals??? Throw it over the plate you bum.
  11. Where's the option ... I've got all the money I need now and I could give a flip about the White Sox.
  12. oops sorry for the double postage
  13. Way to go, Dustin. I love the way we can play s***ty after Widger gets thrown out at home on the hit, yet we still pick up one run the rest of the way and it's enough to hang on and beat the crummy Royals. It's just like when we were hot ... automatic victories. I can't say enough times ... shove it up your butt those in the media and on talk shows who kept bringing up the 69 Cubs.
  14. Thome really really sucked this year and looked like he's hit the brick wall in his career prior to his going on DL. If Paulie got hurt right now, right now, I would give us no chance of winning a playoff series. Our lineup would be devastated. We can't afford to lose Maggs, Lee, Frank and Paulie in a 2-year span. We will not be fine without this guy.
  15. Paulie has 34 home runs.
  16. We definitely needed this surge from Juan. Like you all said, when he's spraying the ball around and hitting like this, we are not nearly as anemic an order. He's been just what the dr. ordered to borrow a cliche.
  17. Great post, guys. I logged on here wanting to make the exact post, saying we Sox fans shouldn't give Mariotti a free ride on this one. He wrote flat out that Cleveland has a better team than the White Sox. He can't take that one back. Like you said, Rowand, he's preparing the Sox will win Series column. Then if we lose 3 in a row and Cleve wins three in a row, it's back to choke time. He's an entertaining columnist but at least we see through him that he is knee jerk with no perspective on the big picture. Gee, maybe Pods was important to the lineup and/or morale. Gee, maybe we hit our first slump of the season. Good win today, SOX!
  18. I kind of like Gload compared to some of our other bench guys.
  19. Great post, DBAHO. Loved your analysis. I didn't realize Randa was reeking that much. Nice perspective, buddy. Loved that post.
  20. No; a team 30+ games over .500 should be able to beat a team that came into the series 15 games back and was consistently sub-mediocre. That's not news. The other way around certainly is. That's a crummy way to look at our sweep. Good job, SOX!
  21. Man ... like you all say, if Juan can hit, geez it helps our lineup. Go SOX!
  22. It's safe to say Scotty, not the equally cool Iggy, is really our team MVP. Keep it going, Sox ... and start losing, Tribe.
  23. It sure is fun when the guys are spraying the ball all over the field like that as well as ripping a couple over the fence.
  24. Why is Maggs classless. I love the Sox but if you believe our management hasn't pulled a lot of s*** in the past in negotiations with players you are wrong. Steff what's the deal with Maggs. Was he a jerk or not?
  25. Hope it was unintentional. No reason to bean him in a total blowout. Why wake up the Tigers for the next 3 games? I'm sure it's gonna become a big deal in the press.
