  1. And some that we certainly don't miss, but I won't name any names....
  2. Am I a newbie too? I've only been here since day 3 of the site...
  3. As long as it's on X-Box live so I can take down Gage, I'll be getting this game for sure. MVP 2004 was a blast.
  4. Willie, you going to the Fest?
  5. Thank you very much. I am tenatively scheduled to be out there March 17-23. Anyone else going out, I'd love to meet up and talk some Sox baseball.
  6. While I do not advocate rushing pitchers along, this question is mainly posed to those in the know on the Sox minors (Jas, Rex, danman, Cerb and yes, Mr. heads). IF we stand pat and do not acquire another pitcher heading to Tucson, what kind of look will McCarthy get in ST? And realistically, how far away is he from the show? This is one of the guys I'd love to see, but haven't yet got the chance. I know many who have seen him are thrilled and I know KW has gone as far as to mention him (even if it was as Adam). Don't overreact and call me crazy for wanting to throw Brandon into the fire, I am just wondering where he stands in the mix. Personally, I don't really want to just throw money at Perez just so we have another starter. But hey, that's just me. I'd rather not regret giving someone a huge contract that doesn't deserve it and spend it wisely when the personnel matches the contract.
  7. Does anyone have an on-sale date for Spring Training Tickets at Tucson Electric Park? Any info would be sincerely appreciated.
  8. Maybe this will lessen the chances of Buehrle going to St Louis after 2007 if they already have a LH stud in Mulder.
  9. Didn't know if you were serious or not, that's why I didn't add you yet. Lemme know, sir.
  10. I don't see there being too many.
  11. I'm Learning to Fly But I ain't got wings Coming Down Is the Hardest Thing
  12. I take offense to that statement in particular, especially due to my relationship with Joe. He's done an audio interview for Soxtalk, which took time out of his pre-game routine. And when I asked Joe if it would be a problem, he of course said it wouldn't be and answered every question I threw at him. He surely didn't have to do this, but for Joe, this was something he was happy to do because he knew it was important to me and to many of you at Soxtalk. Everytime I've shown up at the ballpark here in Louisville, Joe has gone out of his way to take a few minutes of his time to chat with me and I am very appreciative of that fact. He's even gone as far as to ask how my schooling was going and how my father was. I can't say that about any other professional athlete I've ever dealt with. Call the guy a bust, a waste of Sox money, but a piece of garbage is something that Joe Borchard is NOT. He is a class act both on and off the field and has gone out of his way to make himself accessible and has always been eager to speak with me. For that, I admire the guy. And for your comment, you should be ashamed. In the future, maybe you should think long and hard before posting a comment that is totally off base and highly offensive to some of us here at the site.
  13. Welcome aboard, pal. Quickly becoming a pretty large following in just day one!
  14. Both of you are in... Our membership is growing and growing and growing...
  15. I am pretty positive both Politte and Gordon both got guaranteed major league deals. They were not non-roster Spring Training invitees, which is what both Person and Loaiza were.
  16. LMFAO.... I just actually laughed out loud at that. Just had to let everyone know.
  17. I believe Gordon and Politte had major league deals, unlike Loaiza. I am talking a bottom of the barrel reclamation project that KW will talk up until his elbow blows out down in Tucson.
  18. Of course, you are the Mark Mulder of the Big 3.
  19. There is no real plan, that is the main problem with how this entire offseason is being run by the Sox front office.
  20. Prepare yourself for this year's crap shoot project... Esteban Loaiza was the main one we've had that panned out. Robert Person, well, you know how he did last year. We'll sign someone to a minor league deal and KW will jizz in his pants over the "potential" of this individual panning out. Of course we caught lightning in a bottle with Loaiza and I don't expect it to happen again anytime soon.
  21. Borchard won't be on the team, neither will Escobar. And Jurassic will DH, at least until Franky comes back.
  22. All we have to do now is land greasy and I'll have my Big 3.
