  1. ESPN Radio in Atlanta reporting that the Braves are close to a deal with Matt Clement. This is from a friend in the area.
  2. Yep, he throws heat, could be good in the pen. Believe he was hurt most of last season. Here is the scouting report from BA:
  3. I know this should be a pretty popular one, so here goes my official predictions... CF Scott Podsednik LF Aaron Rowand RF Jermaine Dye 1B Paul Konerko DH Carl Everett 3B Joe Crede SS Juan Uribe C Ben Davis/Jaime Burke 2B Willie Harris That is my projection for now, until a signing is made. (also assuming Frank starts the year on the DL, as speculated) Interested to know what all of the others think...
  4. Well I may have to make a trip just to see her....
  5. In the spirit of not deceiving people into reading this, I am changing the title. Funny stuff though Man Soo.
  6. Another piece of good news, ZONE in on AJ Kenny! I'll be fine with a rotation of: Buehrle Garcia Contreras Garland Diaz/Grilli/Cotts/Adkins/Roulette Wheel
  7. Yankees fan forum said one of the players they gave up was their prized catching prospect Navarro (I believe that's his name). Some of their fans sound pretty pissed about that.
  8. Good god it's finally over. Back to reality folks, at least for those of you who were living out of reality.
  9. Not here and that's all I really care about. He is not worth anything close to 10 mil a season.
  10. Boo, heckle, yell, curse, among other things.
  11. Exactly, this is the guy who went on SC and said that the A Rod to Boston deal was back on and a hour later both teams (TEX and BOS) announced it was dead. Great info there Bruce.
  12. It's not going to happen. We aren't going to get RJ.
  13. Who cares anyway. Getting RJ for one season or risking our future (Sweeney/Anderson, Garland, Marte)... I think I'll opt for keeping those guys rather than a year with Randy Johnson. No offense to him, he's one of the greatest of all-time, but he is not going to win a World Series for the Sox next season, so I am glad we are out of this deal.
  14. Pretty sure the A's didnt want to trade him to an AL team.
  15. I'm sure you know him personally.
  16. Another ESPN radio report at 3:20 confirmed the Sox interested in AJ.
  17. ESPN called the 4th year a $8million dollar option for 2008.
  18. Before last season, he was the benchmark for inconsistentcy in the major leagues. He may have had a great year, but I would stop short of calling him a phenomenal player until he proves himself for more than one season.
  19. I think he would understand that all of their chips rest with Joe Mauer, their No.1 overall pick, hometown boy, top prospect, etc. I am sure he didn't like to be traded and such, but I am sure he understands the reason why and doubt this would be a move to stick it to the Twins. Had the Twins not drafted Mauer, Pierzynski would still be in Minny being a Sox killer. Book it.
  20. I want him badly too, I just don't want to get my hopes up because I don't think the chances of it happening are all that great. Prove me wrong Kenny!
  21. Kinda crazy to me that Beltre only played this great in his contract year, but now that he has the contract, how well will he play? Call me stupid, but I don't see him ever beating the year he had in 2004 again.
  22. Update: She has a boyfriend whom she lives with. No damage done and I can still get my movies without feeling like a total jackass...
  23. If he talks, your follow up could be, When are you going to get a real color guy other than DJ?
  24. I'm not expecting to get him at all. Just telling you why I'd sure as hell love to have him, regardless of his clubhouse problems.
