Well this is going to sound fairly gay, but what the hell, it could be worth the advice someone gives me. Anyhow, since I've gotten this Blockbuster movie pass, I'm pretty much in there all the time. Take out a few movies each day and "back them up" on my computer and then go get somewhere. Well recently they've got this new chick working there and she's well, pretty damn hot. Today when I was in there, she was flirting with me fairly heavily (IMO) and I'd like to find out what her deal is. To cut to the chase, being the fairly shy person that I am when it comes to this sort of stuff, what's the best way to initiate further conversation in this type of situation without coming off the wrong way... I don't care about being rejected or anything, I just would like to know the right way to go about this... And yes, I'm ready for the cheap shots from you Jas...

Willie Harris flat out sucks. I cannot understand anyone's fascination with him. The guy is NOT an everyday major league player. If we go into this season again with him as our everyday 2B, we will not be a contender. He may be a nice guy, good with the ladies or a fan favorite (or whatever reason he is liked for)...But he should not be a starter on any GOOD team. The guy has been given a shot, quit making excuses for him and realize he is not worth a s***. Please explain to me what he has done thus far in his career that has earned him the right to be an everyday player....I can't think of a damn thing. I am eagerly anticipating Soxfest, where I can ask KW why we are bringing this embarassment of a player back for another season on the Southside....And yes, I will ask (word for word), When are we going to get a real second baseman? (End of rant).

Maybe so, but if he is willing to be a backup/platoon, I'll take him. Even at his age, he is a better player than Valdez or Harris. He's a borderline HOF player, he was the best player on a World Series Championship team and has been an all-star for a large poriton of his career. And the guy obviously has enough left where it still wants to give it a go for another year. Gotta admire that. Also from what I know of him, he is a good guy to have in the clubhouse, something Robbie Alomar is not.

I agree, I don't care anymore. Quit bringing up Maggs, he is gone, he will never be back and his recent comments have basically ruined his legacy and welcome in the White Sox community. Story is over folks, give it up.

Uribe needs to be the SS, I am more worried about second base quite frankly.

I live about 2 minutes from Blockbuster, so far this week I've gotten 16 different DVD's with movie pass and burned them. Never understood someone saying they would buy a movie to have the case and the artwork. As far as I'm concerned, as long as I've got the movie and it plays, the other stuff is just a waste. How long do you actually sit there and look at the cover? I know I never do at all. The real reason you buy the movie is so you have the movie to watch. I got a 16X Dual Layer burner for $39 the day after Thanksgiving and the blank DVD's run about 20 cents a pop. Definitely better than buying every movie I want.

Burned them both today, what a waste of money buying dvd's is...Get with the program people!

I think Illinois is one of the top 4 or 5 teams for the entire season if they play to their potential, no question. The beauty of college hoops is that there are so many teams with a shot. Who thought Indiana would go to the title game in 2002? Who thought Syracuse would win it all in 2003? It's surprises like these that make college basketball the second best thing in sports, behind White Sox baseball.

And he's an asshole to boot.

Once again, sorry Mr. Krush. I guess my whole point is that in the whole scheme of things for the season, it won't mean anything unless Illinois can go deep into the tournament. Nobody remembers wins in December, they only remember March and early April. That was my only point.

By the way, I got my preseason Wooden Award ballot the other day and I think Brown made the final 30 cut...Maybe he'll play his way onto my ballot this season.

Who says Wake Forest is the best team in the nation? If my memory serves me correct, the preseason number one in college hoops hardly ever cuts down the nets. Illinois is a great team, be proud, you've got your props, I just think it's silly to celebrate a win so early in the season.

I'm not pissy, I just laugh when the thing Illinois fans have to be the most proud of in their hoops history is a December win over Wake Forest and their preseason ranking... Get back to me when you actually win something.

In December, whoopty doo, last time I check nothing was won in December. Rankings in college basketball are completely meaningless. By the way, let me know when Illinois actually wins something in college hoops. When was their last national title?

I talked to Kelly here in Louisville several times this past season and it was obvious to me that something between him and KW did occur. What exactly it was, I will not purely speculate, but I do have a pretty good idea based on some of the comments he made when we talked. Nonetheless, I have nothing but love for Kelly, he is a standup guy and I let him know the last time we talked that it would ruin the Soxfest family party if he wasn't on stage playing once again. Best of luck to you Kelly, you deserve to pitch somewhere.
