Some guys, like Buehrle, could go 140 on a consistent basis, since he doesn't throw that hard and he relies more on the cutter and change than the breaking stuff. That's not to say he doesn't use the curveball, but it's more of a slow curve. Wood and Prior throw straight heat and hard breaking balls, so they should be throwing a lot less than a guy like Buehrle. Even though you all hate Prior as do I (as a pitcher) I think it's sad to see a guy like that go down who has such a promising career and awesome talent. I don't want to see anyone get hurt, especially someone who is good for the game, whether you admit it or not.
