  1. Well I'll be at work from 12:30 til 9:30 so here's to the Sox getting their heads out of their asses and actually playing a good game...
  2. Now that Schoeneweis wrote the check that he sure as hell can't cash with his big mouth, who do you think the Sox should use as the 5th starter next time around. I am for releasing Thriller Jackson, promoting Rauch for the 5th spot and using Diaz and Big Mouth out of the bullpen. Your thoughts?
  3. Looks like it's gonna be a .270/25/80 season for Borchard. Pencil him in for RF next season.
  4. I'm not gonna start a rip fest unless we lose the weekend series to Seattle.
  5. Well Jas has told me for a while that BA overhyped Honel and now I am starting to believe he was exactly right...This is just flat out terrible news in regards to Honel.
  6. Oh, poor Frank...Hope he stays home tonight and rests...
  7. Good post marsh and very well said...
  8. If we win this, I reserve the right to start the game thread until we lose another game.
  9. 3-3. 1-2 versus Minny and 2-1 versus the Braves.
  10. What about his "check swing" grounder yesterday when we really needed a hit.
  11. I think it has ugly potential but I am cautiously optimisitc.
  12. You're right, I changed my lineup accordingly.
  13. Maybe because he has looked piss poor at the plate for 4 games straight now, just a thought.
  14. If true, this is how it will be: Uribe, 2B Rowand, RF Lee, LF Konerko, 1B Crede, 3B Valentin, SS Burke, DH Perez, CF Alomar, C
  15. Are you kidding me? In the AL alone, these guys are flat out better than Loaiza, regardless of the season they are having this year: Mulder, Pedro, Schilling, Vazquez, Mussina, Sabathia, Hudson, Zito, Santana, Halladay Throw in NL pitchers and he's not one of the 25 best starters in baseball IMO. You can even argue that Buehrle and Garcia are better than Loaiza.
  16. By the way, here is Baseball America's take on the Pachecho-Alomar trade, further evidence that it was not a "lost trade" by KW: And his stats last year in Birmingham, where the Barons went 20-4 in his starts during the regular season. 151 innings, 12 wins, 2 losses, 2.56 era, 116 K's, .234 Opponents Batting Average.
  17. No one hates him, but he doesn't deserve Garcia money. He is older, has had only one good season (this year is a toss up so far), while Garcia has been pretty good his whole career and is much younger. And besides, we can't afford to give him Garcia money and he knows that.
  18. Pachecho has been hurt part of the year anyhow. He is still an intriguing prospect for the bullpen.

    HB Tmar28!

    Hope it's a good one...
  20. Conspiracy theory, I tell ya...
  21. Alright, LDF, I shouldn't have said that, but honestly I have always liked you as a poster and I think seriously that a lot of people would take what you post more seriously at times if you used better spelling and punctuation. No malice was intended. I am sorry for what I said and I shouldn't have said it.
  22. Maybe because we have Konerko and Frank...
