No you are right, the teams are selected tonight....Bad news for Mark.

Tonight is important for Buehrle
Just the position players and the starting pitchers, from what I understand. The pitchers will be chosen later this week from what I've read.

Tonight is important for Buehrle
1) He's never been that great against the Cubs, 2-2 lifetime with an era over 6... 2) We need a win to avoid being swept by the Cubs and losing the season series as well... 3) The pitchers for the AL all-star team will not be selected until later this week, so if Buehrle wants to make the team, he needs a lights out game tonight and I think he'll be on there if he picks up win #9.

Independence THIS! Sox getting one back...
As DJ would say, "the sox are sending the perfect man to the hill to get the job done in Mark Buehrle."

Diaz, does he get another start?
Good post Critic... I'll take the loss and move on and be glad we didn't lose anyone to injury. I'll be glad when this damn series is over tonight and we can get back to AL baseball with Paul and Frank both in the lineup.

Moronatti Does it Again
Watch us resign Maggs and Moronotti will call it a genius move by KW... I really wish he would walk to his car unsurrounded once and get noticed and plummeted.

Garciaparra on Trading Block
Agreed on all counts. If we are going to trade Ordonez, get Andruw Jones and Russell Ortiz.

This is all a test
Greg Maddux is a hall of fame pitcher with 296 career wins. You can't win every damn game, relax.

College Visits
They'll go on sale late Sept/Early Oct....You'll have a blast. Also if you like to play ball there will be a ton of pickup games in the HPER building which is like a 3 min walk for you. Also one of the nicest gyms you will find anywhere, no doubt. And hell you may even run into aboz at a house party up there, who knows since my sister does have a house up there and all...

College Visits
Where ya living, to me the best for freshmen are Briscoe, Teter or Foster... And if you're into the partying/wildness, you're best off in Foster or McNutt...

Loaiza
PTI reported the other day that Pavano dumped Milano.

Women's Tennis
I thought Serena would crush Sharapova, but so far I am wrong. This should be a good match if Serena decides to try and battle back.

Hawk vs. Marriotti
Both of these idiots sound like children and I'm tired of hearing about their so-called "feud." I wish Jay would have just swung at Hawk, leading to Hawk knocking him out and this would be over by now.

Bad News In Regards to the Server Switch
Jas, I know a pretty good deal about server switches, had to do several back in the days with Wrestling Unleashed when we moved to dedicated servers, so if you have any questions or whatever, lemme know and I can possibly help.

Scouting the Garcia Deal
Gotta be quick here because I've got to go to work, but since I have seen Reed pretty extensively, here goes: Hitter who uses all parts of the field with one of the most level and compact swings you will find in baseball. There's no doubt about the fact that this guy is an extremely tough out who won't be beat the same way twice. Makes the necessary adjustments in his approach to be successful. I would say his speed is slightly above average and his defense is slightly above average. Could play CF, but would be better off at one of the corner spots in the long run. His wrist problems are a concern, as he admitted to me that they've been bothering him since his play with Team USA this past offseason when he aggrivated an earlier wrist injury. Many believe this is part of the reason they were willing to deal Reed rather than Joe Borchard. Projects to be a .300 hitter at the next level, with 10-15 home run potential and would be ideal in the 2 hole. BTW, there is also a 5 min interview I did with Jeremy earlier in the season that can be listened to here: http://www.futuresox.com/interviews/Reed.rm
