  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) I don't think so. If ISU had two legit 2nd rounders on there team I'd like to think they'd be in the tourney. That said ISU vastly underachieved all season. They had some talent, it just never came to fruition. So what's going on here heads? Are they just accepting their fate as a role players in Greece? BTW, happy 10K to me...
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) That means you have Iowa past Texas? Or is Iowa the one that doesn't go and IU/MSU/ILL/OSU are your 4. But I'd recommend taking Ill down from there, Washington will knock em out in the 2nd round. I like Ill a lot, but I actually like Washington. Than again I'm the lone person on this site who doesn't have Midwest or East Coast bias Had MSU out to UNC. The other 4 I had. I saw Washington a lot this year, but I still think ILL is better simply because I think Dee Brown plays big in big games. And what games are bigger than the NCAA tourney? Overall I think the Pac-10 blows besides UCLA which I did put in the Final Four in one of my brackets. Yes, I do have Iowa past Texas then losing to Duke.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) Dee can come down any time, but he won't. He's my new hero. He's the anti Rally Crede for Illini fans. Interesting, I actually put them in my Final Four. I had 4 Big 10 teams in the Elite 8.
  4. I'd rather have just Cotts by himself than rush a guy who has never pitched above A ball on our opening day roster. Or KW can work the phones and get us a decent or even a washed up lefty for a few scraps.
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Wolff is a new writer, but he's spot on when it comes to Logan. Its more a knock on the system as it is a test to how good logan is. That said I've heard some good things of late when it comes to him. I've never seen him play though, but this team has zero lefty relievers candidates in the minors (he may just be the best we got). Good stuff, hopefully I'll have a column ready by the time you get back from ST. Have a good time. BTW, how long do you have to keep up Dee Brown as your sig?
  6. I've never seen either of these guys play or heard much about them (I guess that says something since I follow college really closely), are they even NBA 2nd rounders?
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) Sales are going a little slow...Anyone still riding the fence? When you mentioned group meeting and WSI, I became out on this. Sorry.
  8. Jason, is Josh Wolff your new alter ego? Logan is on here based on a few ST games this year. I'd say its a bit far fetched to take these performances and then put him on your all-prospect team. Other than that, good stuff.
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 04:58 PM) I don't trust either one to cover those. I think I'd take Memphis to cover over Oral Roberts. Then again, this is not a game you'd want to bet on. Big spreads are just too hard to cover sometimes and anything can happen when Memphis takes out its starters with 5 minutes left and Oral Roberts lights it up in garbage time.
  10. He is #9 on GQ's list of the 10 most hated athletes. Gotta love that and I love having him on the Sox.

    So yeah...

QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) congrats alex Did you motivate yourself by looking at a picture of jason? I know I do. Yea, I knew if I didn't pass I may end up like him. Pure motivation. Haha.

    So yeah...

The agonizing over grad school is finished. Got a 1070 (decent score, only needed 800) on the GRE today. Thank god. Now I can enjoy a day of my life without worrying about this damn test.
  13. I'll still take UNC and Kansas over Ohio State next year. Hansbrough should be preseason player of the year.
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) In the documentary it looked like he was going to, until he started blowing up his senior year. Also, I found it interesting that the players had to walk or take the train to games because the school wouldnt give them a bus. I didn't get the impression he was going to. What was funny were his blatant lies when he was here in town for the game in Louisville Gardens. They asked him if he was coming and he said, "as long as I'm alive." I don't blame the kid for going pro, but that game was well into his senior year and you know he'd been talking to Adidas by that point.
  15. Another thing I've talked with Zach about going into next year is that DJ is the KEY for IU having a real solid team going into next year. Depth chart would look like this, considering RV leaves, which is up in the air. Since he and DJ are roommates and good friends, maybe we keep RV contingent on DJ staying and MD not getting a good enough job. Anyhow without RV: F - White F- Allen G - Ratliff G - Wilmont G - Calloway Bench: - Cem (6-10 from Germany who's played sparingly this year but apparently doesn't like MD) - Suhr - Bassett - Keeling - Joey Shaw (if he stays) Not bad, not bad at all. Of course it looks much better if RV stays.
  16. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) "We'll see when it comes" doesn't mean he closed the book. He won't leave unless he goes pro which would be foolish.
  17. He'll be back in my view and with that, he'll be the best big man in the Big 10 next year. CJ link on him being neutral: http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.d...PORTS/603130361
  18. Why he even ever committed to Louisville I do not know. He was never going to go in the first place. Good article about it here, I think I know the author :-) http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.d.../602250463/1005
  19. From the other thread by me but it deserves to go here too: Who cares about what Jim Nantz and Billy Packer have to say, get these clowns off TV with basketball analysis. Nantz doesn't even pay attention to hoops until February and Packer is an annoying, arrogant son of a b****. Until these guys get hired to make the brackets, they need to shut face. I don't agree with Air Force getting in either, but the mid majors got well-represented in the dance and I am estatic about that. Bottom line is that the committee didn't let teams from the power conferences who played sub-par non conference schedules get in based on a few decent wins in the conference. These schools need to step up and schedule the mid-major teams instead of totally ducking them and loading their schedules with cupcakes. Nantz you are unprofessional and a joke.

  21. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) I'm not happy in the sense that I have been spouting off that Gonzaga would make the Sweet 16. Now I have to hope that I was freakin wrong! Oh, you're wrong.
  22. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) Let's Go Hoosiers!!! Considering Gonzaga has barely beaten 3 teams who are not ranked in the top 100 RPI their last three games, I'm happy IU may get them second game. Seems very winnable. Gotta beat San Diego State first.
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) I like the Air Force matchup, and Washington plays no defense and relies on all offense. So despite the screw job, I like the matchups in the first 2 rounds. But then UConn...and bye bye. ILL can beat UConn. I wouldn't just give up on that right now.
  24. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) It's almost like they got Illinois and Tennessee flip-flopped Maybe they were confused by the orange that both teams wear?
