I’ve been posting here only a small amount of time, but the “you’re stupid for thinking/wanting this team to ever be good again” stinks.

I think they can get to a competitive state (as in possibly win the division) in 2026. They'll have money to spend which we will hope Getz spends smarter than Hahn ever did. And they have a decent amount of pitching prospects that'd you'd hope a few of them will work out at least.

And that dork is absolutely giddy about that.

Yeah I really don't know what people want from Getz currently. There isn't a single person in baseball who could have came in and fixed this situation with the situation/assets he has to work with.

I agree with this. Your SS this year should also at least give you defense and a little bit of pop. Last year that position provided absolutely nothing.

I went with B. I'm not going to pretend I know a ton about any of these guys, but Thorpe seems like a real deal and the other two have possible huge upside. Plus the reliever with a ton of control is a nice little bonus to me, keep him or potential flip guy. Getz is actually building pitching depth which is nice. Hahn would get five guys and call it a day.

Neither of those guys put up his numbers, but sure.

That’s why I’m willing to give Getz a chance and roll my eyes at the “he was in charge of development” lines. He was given nothing to develop.

Zavala being part of it makes it a big win for the Sox to me. I don't know if it's "steep" but Sox for sure got enough for him.
