I think this is a smart way for the Sox to do it. As much as I loathed Robert for most of this year - you shouldn't settle for a package that does nothing for you since he isn't a true rental player.
The first write up contradicts itself, as well. It says he relies on "decent" velocity, but then he averages less than 90? That for sure ain't decent. I'm guessing the 94 number is more accurate.
