oops i may have misread what he was asking. i thought he was asking the comp pick we got in loosing our players in the fa market. i think.

so with the sox continuing to draft players, we are bound to get lucky. that is the way i am looking into it. we need to restock the farm, i am all for investing big in the fa market, but lets continue to add players to the minor league. they are still the future of the team.

i looked at the listing of fa's on another thread and i answered my own question, he is not a fa. damn.

and if we offer him arb and he signs with another team we get comp picks. these picks will offset the picks we are going to loose when in hit the fa market.

i am not saying that frank is the problem, without knowing who the players are, i would like to keep an open mind. now back to our conversation. do you remember the time when frank refuse to do some drills in spring training several yrs ago??? ozzie took that time to lit into frank and i mean it was a nasty attack. i believe he was in fla at the time. so with all that, are you going to tell me that all is forgiven and all forgotten.

again another great thought, in my post i was playing a "devil advocate" approach. i still think that the sox will not give up on garland yet. i am looking at a #5 pitcher and continue to have faith in him. btw, how much does he make??? When is his contract up??? these 2 question, in my mind will dictate whether he will stay here or not.

but it does sounds as the sox still might offer him a contract.

and for all the praises that was spewed at kw way for knowing talent and all that, he was responsible for acquiring the talent that ozzie was speaking of.

welcome to the board. it is nice to see someone who still have faith. i hope you are right, however, the numbers doesn't show it. as another poster suggested, if only they could have won a couple of those game they lost. oh well, again i hope you are right.

ok i am going to suggest 2 names, frank and mags. both are not playing with the sox so that qualifies with what was written. big frank and ozzie don't get along, remember when ozzie was first hire and the article that kw mention that he went and talk to frank about ozzie being hired how bout mags and ozzie mentioning in the newspaper about mags and not knowing where he is, on his first injury.
