  1. Great start. Paulie glad you gave an effort on that Floyd throw.
  2. I think we should try and swing a deal for Matt Murton. Maybe Jerry Owens + pitcher for Murton? Stick Murton in CF and play Swish at 1st. Murton could probably handle CF, at least as an average fielder. But he would give our lineup a .300 hitter and okay power. I have always loved Murton because he is just a great hitter.
  3. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ May 26, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) nobody has hit 30 and .300 yet, all just projections. I'm just saying that finding guys who's only tool is hitting is a lot easier than finding guys who can hit, field, catch, throw and run. that being said, if beckham projects to not stick at short then I think you just take whomever is the best hitter of the bunch. Honestly, none of us are scouts and baseball players are probably the most difficult players to project out of all the major sports so who the hell knows. I just would like to see us shore up the middle infield spots through this draft as our farm system is almost totally devoid of infield prospects But I'll bet if we picked the players for the Sox, we would get about as many hits as they would. Because baseball is such a mental game and the talent disparity is so great in differnet conferences and divisions, baseball is by far the hardest to predict. And with pitchers, the injuries that occur are so frecuent, that baseball is really just a roll of the dice.
  4. Way to finish him Bobby. Buy the pen a round tonight.
  5. 94 MPH sinker right there. That pitch is unhittable.
  6. That was a bad pitch by Bobby.
  7. Of course, this game wouldn't be complete without the 12th inning being interesting.
  8. Wow. Paulie hit it as hard as he could right there, and its just warning track power. He is lost and gone. Come on Bobby. Makes this a nice 1-2-3 inning.
  9. YES!!! BA. Paulie time to get a big knock in a very pressure-less at-bat.
  10. I think Thome is gonna crush one here. He seems to be hittingit better and Elarton loves the letter high heat which Thome can crush. EDIT: forgot Thome is out. Come Banderson.
  11. Interesting RBI for Q, but I'll take it.
  12. I say thank you. I trust Q to get this run in more than anyone else.
  13. Dammit OC. But nice hit.
  14. Nice job Alexei. Don't f this up OC.
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 08:44 PM) dye was also originally drafted as a pitcher Didn't know that. I would love to see JD try and windup.
  16. The best position player pitcher we have is Anderson, FWIW. He was a pitcher at Arizona and can throw low 90s heat.
  17. Nice job Boone. Way to get the first out.
  18. Dammit. Well we gotta hope Boone throws strikes.
  19. That look from Paulie says it all. It looks like someone killed his dog.
  20. As bad as Paulie is going physically now, he is probably worse mentally.
  21. Figures. He hits it hard and its five feet foul.
  22. Borowski hangs his curve every time. Hit it hard paulie.
  23. Banderson time. You know any thing close, Anderson is gonna be sent home. Come on Paulie, just get a gapper.
  24. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ May 26, 2008 -> 08:29 PM) H: "They say he has huge stones." D: "Huge stones are hard to move." and with his talk about picturing people naked, DJ has been on his game tonight.
