  1. That's just pathetic. This guy should be in AA, and JD k's.
  2. where is Rob Mackowiak?
  3. Huge swing by Alexei on a hit and run.
  4. Frick. Here is the game.
  5. WTF? Come on. Gotta get an out there.
  6. So will our 4-5-6, go 1-2-3?
  7. Dotel looks crisp, he will get the 8th no doubt. When Dotel pitches in the low 90s, he is so much better than mid 90s because commands his fastball. When he throws harder, he always waslks hitters.
  8. No walks by Dotel. Please.
  9. And now AJ switches spots with OC. Q do your thang./=
  10. GREAT AT-BAT by AJ. Come on Q!!!
  11. He's gonna come at AJ with a fastball. 2-1
  12. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 26, 2008 -> 07:02 PM) quick NBA fact i just heard, which is remarkable because you never hear people complain about the big teams always winning in basketball as much as you do in baseball....but 25 of the last 29 NBA championships have been won by either the teams in the conference finals, or the bulls In the NBA, one guy can make a difference. MJ, Shaq...
  13. Big hit needed AJ. Switch places with OC and let Q bring you in.
  14. Another weak fly ball for Swisher. Get him out of the lineup.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 26, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) Could be...or maybe he just has no bat speed now. He had that great day with 2 homers against Guthrie on April 27th, and then he hurt himself during that dreadful tie game against the Orioles on the 28th. He hasn't hit a homer since that time, and only has 3 doubles. I don't have the slightest clue why they haven't shut him down for two weeks. I would be ecstatic to Fields or Eldred up instead of him. Right now, Konerko is not threat to hit a homer and with his speed and horrible range, either would be suitable for his replacement because they would be a threat with the bat and bring range to 1st. If you had Fields up, you might just have to throw him at first and see what he can do because he/Q can't play CF and Thome cant play first.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ May 26, 2008 -> 01:05 PM) I joined your facebook group. Nice, the more the merrier.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 26, 2008 -> 12:29 PM) I think if the Bulls go that route it would be very important to bring Duhon back in a bench role. It would be nice to have a veteran PG to help Rose, plus having that guy to provide stability as Rose goes through the growing pains. The only other thing I'd like to do is package Gordon elsewhere, but as long as Hughes/Sef/Noc are able to get a lot of minutes off the bench I'd be fine. I really love the Sefolosha and think he's going to be a huge reason the Bulls end up winning a few championships in the next 7-10 years. Love the confidence, I am just hoping for one.
  18. If Fields starts hitting, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox brought him up. Maybe play him at first base or DH, but if he hits and Swish, Konerko and Thome are still around .200, you have got to get Fields up here.
  19. My ideal situation is that the Sox trade Gooden, Hinrich, 09 first round pick for Brand. Then draft Rose and a lineup of this: PG: Rose SG: Gordon SF: Deng PF: Brand C: Noah Bench (main guys) Noc Thabo Tyrus This would allow Rose to be a have a ton of assist and score a modest 10 PPG. He wouldn't be needed to take over guys, just be a distributor while this talented roster feeds off his athleticism and ball handling skills. This lineup would be very good, your bench would be solid and Tyrus would get a lot of PT.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 26, 2008 -> 11:42 AM) I actually watched a lot of clips of Wallace yesterday and my opinion is changing. He's in my better shape than when I saw him a year or two ago. My flaw with Alonso is out of all of the guys he seems to have the least athletic build. I'm now leaning, Smoak/Beckham/Wallace if we go the college route & Skipworth if we go the prep route. I would take Crow if he somehow fell to us (But I can't see the Reds passing up on him). I saw some highlights of Alonso, and when he runs, it looks like he has weights on his feet. Slow kid. Might put up good numbers, but I hate guys that are so slow. I agree with your picks there, Smoak gives us a tremendous three hitter who will be a big time power guy, walk a ton, I question whether he will be a .300+ hitter, but his other numbers will be great. Beckham seems like a great five hitter, but people are questioning his ability to stick at short which is key, but then others have said he can, so that will be interesting. Wallace might be the best pure hitter of all of the guys, seems like a Todd Helton-type if Helton didn't play in Coors. Crow would be real interesting for me because he is a Mizzou guy and he is a guy who could succeed in the bullpen immediately this year and then start in the minors the following year. Wishful thinking, but I think he could be a solid pitcher in the pen for the Sox with a mid 90's fastball with movement that he commands tremendously, a great slider and solid change.
  21. Kyle Pederson names top 5 pitchers to watch and Aaron Crow not one of them. Wow. Great analysis. Yes, I am a homer, but he is a top 10 pick and he picks Andrew Oliver from OK State over Crow.
  22. I was there and it was really funny, but at first my friend said he saw it go down between the bleachers and the wall. I didn't see this, but my friend at first was saying that someone fell down the well, but he also said it looked fake, then somehow, the fans got the doll back. Anderson seemed amused about it.
  23. Anderson's value is greatest to the Sox. He is a solid team player with a seemingly great attitude and has been perfect for his role this season. I don't believe teams view Anderson as a future all-star in the OF, but rather a solid starter or role player, which the Sox clearly see him as.
