QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:48 PM) That would still be Humber IMO. Danksie sporting a 1.23 ERA and 3-0 record in June.

Serious question: If a pitcher tried to intentionally walk Brent, would he swing?

0-6 for Pierre. You still wanna give him the most at-bats Ozzie?!?

Well we got two auto outs right here. So Teahen, you might just wanna walk it off.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:35 PM) MLB Network showed the Sox dugout on AJ's homer...absolutley dead. Almost no emotion. That's bad. Like really bad.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:33 PM) AJ's OPS up to .728. That's actually above average this season. His hitting has been a heck of a lot better, but he still is a huge liability on defense.

We really need Harold to hit. He likes ending extra-inning games.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:20 PM) I'm starting to think he will forever be a basket case. It makes no sense, too. He is smart. Confident. And yet he looks lost.

QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) So how did Edwin look tonight? Dirty. But racked up a lot of pitches.

Dunn hopefully has some confidence back, so I feel confident in his at-bat. Walk is just as good as a hit by me (unless that hit would be an HR).

Jesse Crain looks like he is wearing one of those illuminating necklaces you were during the 4th of July.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:11 PM) It's an extra innings game. This thread would have been over 15 pages ago if it wasn't for Teahen. Stop nitpicking lol SON OF A b****

When was the last time we had a 50-page game thread? For all I know it was last week, but it seems like eons.

2011-2012 NHL Thread
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:05 PM) I am in complete shock right now. I have no idea why Florida would take the Campbell contract off our hands other than the fact that they cannot attract big name FAs, but Campbell has declined rapidly and has a lot of 7 mill years left. This is simply an amazing gift and is going to allow the Hawks to greatly upgrade their roster and go after the Cup the next handful of years as a legit contender. I am stoked. We could go after the guy I think can make the biggest difference in Richards. However, I don't know if we can handle an 8-year deal at 6.5 mill like he wants. I'd like to see the Hawks extend Sharpie and figure things out after that. THIS IS SO f***ING AWESOME. Apparently Florida is real close (or might be there right now) to the cap floor that adding Campbell helps get them there cuz god knows nobody of any value is going to sign there as a FA. And like someone already said, you gotta figure Sharpie's extension is only a matter of when now.

If Teahen could start hitting better, he would be a nice leadoff candidate with his ability to walk. Granted he doens't defend well enough to play everyday.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:59 PM) Crain will have to keep pitching. I don't think Matt can be trusted. I just don't. 1.08 ERA in June with a sub-1.00 WHIP. He has been Matt Thornton recently and not Boone Logan.

QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) If they need a starter to come in, the bet guest would be Floyd. That ended poorly last time.
