QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Stole this from Illiniboard...apparently Knight walked off the set of Cold Pizza today: Dana was asking him how long he would continue coaching. Knight gave some general answer about he's going to continue coaching as long as anyone else, coaching is the only thing he knows how to do and Dana tried to press him for a more specific answer. A peeved Knight responded asking her how long she would continue to cook breakfast. Dana tried to brush off the barb by saying she's a good cook. Then she went into an Indiana question and before she could finish it Knight interrupted "I have no interest in discussing Indiana. NEXT QUESTION." But Dana didn't stop and kept on with another Indiana question and Knight again said he didn't want to discuss Indiana and removed his earpiece. Haha yep. He almost fell over taking out his ear piece. They showed it on PTI. -

Soxtalk needs one of their own. They need to have someone that has posted here, so they can embrace him. And they need that. I'm not upset about it, I'm not disappointed, I just think they need that.

QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) c'mon. There's so many other good options that you can only get at the Cell. Why get crappy stale pizza? Brats w/ onions? Dogs w/ onions? C'mon, those really are the only real choices. Says the avid-cotton candy eater.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:32 AM) Did anyone hear ESPN1000 this morning when they played the clip of George Bush mentioning Ed Farmer, it was great: President Bush(addressing the media) "Hey, there is Ed Farmer.." (slight pause, one person claps) President Bush "Well there is one person in here that knows Ed Farmer." Sometimes President Bush can actually slip in some really funny and NOT dumb quotes, and this was definitely one of them. the whole room was laughing. Nice.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) Not even sure that makes sense, what point are you trying to convey? Just saying. Last year, we complain about not getting enough good press and that attendance wasn't good enough. Now we're complaining that we're getting too much good press and we can't get a good ticket. Of course this is to a lighter degree.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) That just made me realize something! GREASY, when did you change your avatar?? Did I not order you to NEVER change that avatar with Erin in it? I'll bet you changed it right before the Minnesota game and this slide downhill is all YOUR fault! I changed it when I put my Crede sig up. And that was after the Wiscy game. I thought it was becoming bad luck. However, here it is in all its glory for anyone that wants it. -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) He is best served as an assistant coach. I've always believed that. If he only we could keep him on board as just that, but that's not possible or real. We could keep getting the players he's capable of getting, and have a real motivator. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) They move corpses in bandwagons these days? I was saying "Give Davis 1 more year" at the end of last year. I'm not saying that any more. That says something, I think. Yeah, I was behind him until the Minnesota game. It's impossible to defend him anymore. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) Maybe IU can win the NIT by beating Kentucky in the Championship Game. Beating UK twice in one season would be some consolation. Haha, that would keep me on the "keep Davis bandwagon". -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) Well yeah, Indiana trumps Villanova if they are both going well. But Indiana isn't going well right now, and haven't been going well for 4 years. And while 4 years isn't all that long, it's enough time to fall way behind on the recruiting trail. Hence, the coaching change. And starting all over. Indiana would have no problem getting there again. This isn't Harvard and Yale dominating in the early 1900s and never regaining that. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) Ha, I love Indiana fans and their pointing to the banners. YOU HAVEN'T WON A TITLE IN 19 YEARS!! As of RIGHT NOW, Villanova is a better situation for a coach than Indiana is, and that is undebateable. They are in just as good a league as Indiana, there is less f***ing psycho fans (even in Philly) and they have a lot of areas to go and recruit very well, while Indiana can't keep their own players in state. And yes, Crean was a real good assistant, but he has shown ZERO as a head coach other than the Dwyane Wade 1 man wrecking crew that carried his ass to the Final Four. And Steve Alford to Indiana would be priceless, but that won't happen. And that's Davis' fault that he can't get players from the state. That can easily change again. Indiana can give a guy Wright more money, and if they're both going good, there's no denying Indiana trumps Nova in prestige. -

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) That one could make the most sense. Creen is another. Some of the names I've heard don't seem to make much sense to me, like Wright, Few, or Majerus. I haven't seen/heard enough from Beilen to know if he'd leave or not. Why does Alford make sense? He's got a worse Big Ten record than Davis. The only thing he's got going for him is that he went here. -

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) IU fans, would you have wanted Bruce Pearl if he was, or becomes, available? That nut is doing quite the job with the Vols. I'd take him. However, of the people we'd be looking at, I think he'd be the last to leave. He's got a good thing going in Tennessee, and there's not much reason for him to leave that. The other coaches would be upgrading in coming here, with our history. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:45 PM) couSTEVEALFORDgh! Or not. -

I haven't heard much. You've been the only one I ever heard say Jay Wright. On Saturday, Andy Katz said John Beilein and Tom Crean would be high on IU's list if (when) the spot becomes open. I'm pretty sure other names will come out later on. -
