The Mets have an option on Hildago, and I see them using that as an excuse to not go after Mags in the offseason. I have a feeling if we don't get him signed, I'll be shocked if we do, that he ends up in Baltimore. They still have tons of money to blow after last year's offseason. They just kind of stopped going after players, and said they would wait for this year's FA class.

You hit it right on the button with what happened to our season last year, and I agree about what's going to happen in the Big Ten this year. I feel like the Big Ten is going to once again be one of the stronger conferences in the NCAA; we are again going to have at the least 6 teams in the tourney this year, with a chance of them going deep into the tourney. Haha, I just noticed. Look at what we're doing to the NCAA Football thread....

Eh, you knew our team last year was garbage. It's pretty sad when we went half the season with our center being Sean Kline, and that we were begging for George Leach to come back... We were HOPING to get into the NIT; as you guys were a serious final four contender. I think this incoming class at IU's definitely going to bring us back.

Willingham hasn't even been able to coach a team that's all his doing yet (recruited, coached, etc.) at ND, you'd still have to wait another year or two to see what he can really do.

I was pretty good about not missing school until senior year, because senior year's basically a waste of time. I only missed seven days from kindergarten to junior year of HS. Four of the seven days were the first four days of 1st grade when I was just getting over the chicken pox.... I really agree about Frank. That's one of the reasons he's my favorite player in MLB. And if this news is real about Garcia. AWESOME!! This can truly make losing Olivo and Reed a thing of the past now. We have ourselves a quality top of the rotation starter for the next 3 years.

I've seen that before googling images of Frank for desktop backgrounds. It looks like it's from the 2003 season; Frank appears to have the all star patch on his arm. That looks like it's Jamie Moyer on the mound at Safeco also.

That it was. I miss not knowing/worrying about the players getting paid millions of dollars and this GAME being a business. I really didn't have a clue about any of this until after the strike. You appreciated the game more before you knew that this was all about the money, like everything else in this world.

Oh no question...I didn't care if IU was 0-11 or 11-0; I was going to get tickets. I'm just obsessed with sports as it is. I'll definitely try to get up to U of I for the football game. Hopefully I get lucky, and can somehow get to Champaign for if and when IU's up there during basketball season.
