  1. I think they at least go 2 or 3 rounds, I'll have to see who they end up playing. However, I agree. They haven't really been tested; their only true tests were Gonzaga on opening night, Boston College (that's a stretch), and Dayton. I don't blame them for that, but it'll be interesting to see what they do in the tourney against more tested teams. St. Joe's has done pretty well w/out having any kind of height, that should change in the tourney. Another note....Minnesota is up on the road at Michigan State 31-26; however, there's 3:25 first half. Minnesota looks to revenge the loss they had against MSU were they were up 18 at the half.
  2. Hope it's a great one, elrockinMT!
  3. Ha yeah, my school (South Side Archers) and the river rats, as we like to call them (North Side Redskins)...two of the oldest schools in Fort Wayne have a really classic rivalry. We have this totem trophy we play for during the season. It's for the winner of the basketball game, kind of similar to the IU-PU Oaken Bucket games in football. It's one of our funnest games to go to, and it always sells out.

LOL this guy was one angry viewer. I always wondered if the Max was part of the school or what not. I just remember there would be times where they'd be at the Max, and someone would say they would have to get back to class. I wish my cafeteria looked like that. That show is definitely a classic though.
  5. Ha I just had to point that out. I've never heard of us as "Indianans" before.
  6. That had to be so sweet to experience. I just see all the pictures, Hoosiers, and I've read a couple books on the whole Hoosier Hysteria. I just wish I could've been born a little earlier to just experience what basketball used to be like in Indiana. Because I still see it as a pretty big thing in the state, but to imagine that it used to be something more is just awesome.
  7. I wish I could be down there for MY HS's finals, but that won't happen. I might just end up going down this year though, if any of the SAC schools end up making it to state. I know it's not how it used to be since they established these damn classes into IN HS b-ball, but I still hear it's a hell of a time. However, I got to go the Dec. 3 rematch in 2002 of IU and Maryland. There's not a bad seat in the house. I absolutely loved the place, and the game! The game went into OT after Blake of MD hit a prayer from half court that definitely went off too late. Coverdale had 31 points in the game too.
  8. I bet we'll only have our 1 to 3 games on TV in spring training. However, ESPN is actually televising games this spring, of course they'll all be sCrUBS, Yanks, and Red Sox though. I'll take it though, baseball's baseball.

The early "Saved by the Bell" episodes are in Indiana, and then they randomly all end up in a school that looks exactly the same, w/ the same principal and all, in California.
  10. Sports Illustrated has been doing these in-depth reports on the 50 states and sports in honor of SI's 50th anniversary. They talk about Indiana basketball, the Little 500, greatest athletes, etc. They have much more on the site, but here's the article..... SI 50th--Indiana
  11. Yeah...I'm not the biggest fan of the show, but it's definitely not the same w/out Max. With Statboy behind the controls, they have like 50 points before the 2nd elimination. Though it's kind of interesting on that show. It seems you just get points for how long you talk; either that, or Max/Statboy agree w/ everything coming out of their mouths. I really like PTI better than this show though.
  12. Wow...what a game...Louisville had the lead about the whole game. Charlotte took the lead for the first time w/ 1:30 to go, and it went back and forth down to the wire. Charlotte wins 77-71...They've beaten some good teams this season....at Cincy, at 'Cuse, and Marquette
  13. Charlotte just takes the lead at home 70-68 against #9 Louisville....w/ :50 left ....
  14. The author?
  15. I like goldfish crackers.... My least favorites are probably peas, olives, and mushrooms.
  16. Big whoop....Nancy Faust was making more than Person was going to; this means absolutely nothing. Person may not have even been good enough for a starting job, and our bullpen is plenty full. We're fine.
  17. Eh...you guys will have a real crowd for that game. I think Lowe will have a better game Saturday, you guys will probably hang on to win that one.
  18. But does he get to collect his $200? Or can he not pass go? Agreed about the Royals pitching; we've been saying this all along.
  19. I really don't know how this guy didn't get through. I mean if he can do THAT w/out professional training.....WOW, imagine if Simon could just work w/ him for a few hours....
  20. Ha one of the earlier episodes of "That 70s Show" did this. It was great. Donna and Eric were trying to get back at the rest of the gang for something, and they made them "brownies."
  21. This was like watching paint dry, but I'm extatic w/ the outcome. In Kenneth Lowe's return...Purdue loses at HOME to NORTHWESTERN 40-39.....
  22. Oh definitely. I really don't see any way you can argue against that.
  23. If anyone was going to beat St. Joe's in the regular season, I thought it would be Dayton. However, #3 St. Joe's has this wrapped up w/ 2:50 to go in the game, up 75-58.
  24. IU finally breaks the 3 game skid...We're back to 6-4 in the Big Ten w/ the 75-56 win over Penn State. IU finally played two good halves of basketball, and that was the key to tonight's game. We had 11 three pointers, 8 in the first half. The big difference in the game was the points off turnovers; we had 27 points to Penn State's 0. We still had trouble blocking people inside. I give a lot of credit to Penn State's big guy though. Aaron Johnson had 28 points and 15 boards; he had a night he'll never forget.
