  1. Kirk Hinrich for Aboz's...... Kristin Kruek for Cali's......
  2. I can't stand this bulls***.... I know people can cry about the Marlins, Angels, and DBacks winning the World Series the past 3 years w/ sufficiently lower payrolls. However, here in the Midwest the whole AL central's payroll combined just barely surpasses the Yankees. Our entire payroll is probably less than what the Yankees are paying for their whole infeild. I know they're not breaking any rules, but how can anyone justify this being fair? They need to do something about this though. I know they have the luxury tax, but people like Steinbrenner have the money to get around that. There's no way you can say this is good for the game of baseball.
  3. I don't blame that all on the players though. That dunk Jones was going for from the crowd would have been sick, and the NBA had some worthless rules saying that since the layup went in, that it counted as his attempt.
  4. Kristen Kruek...LMAO...I'll be surprised to see how anyone gets this one right.
  5. Just watched some of the All-Star contests.....The Lakers won the skills challenge, where you have a NBA, WNBA, and "legend" have to make so many shots in the quickest amount of time. During this the "legend" wore a throwback jersey of the team. The Pistons were in this contest, and John Salley was the legend. He's not really a legend in my book, but props to him for wearing the Fort Wayne Pistons jersey! (Pistons played here in the early 20th century. They actually played in North Side HS's gym. Unfortunately, this is the last year this 75 year old gym will be used.) Baron Davis, of the Hornets, won this obstacle course contest they had. Peja Sticiokjsdkjfkjfdsic was going for his 3rd straight 3-Point Shootout victory, but he lost to Voshan Leonard of the Nuggets. In the slam dunk contest, Jason Richardson was trying to 3-peat, but Fred Jones of the INDIANA Pacers ended up winning that. Though they don't treat it like a real game until the late 3rd quarter/start of the 4th quarter. I'm looking forward to the All-Star game tomorrow night. Basketball's basketball.
  6. Well Purdue wins 71-56.....IU and Purdue split the series this year, w/ both team winning on their home courts. IU has got a ways to go if they want in the tourney. I say if we can go 10-6 in the Big Ten and win at least 2 games in the Big Ten tourney, we'd have a remote shot. Anyways, congrats to the Purdue fans....
  7. Hopefully the NL pitchers bean them....(Clemens, Pettitte, Wells)
  8. Agreed....Big blow to IU. Though we were making a run to comeback before that happened, that is just going to kill any momentum. Unfortunately, the question is how many Purdue will end up winning by?
  9. Not a pretty first half....Purdue is up 35-25 at the break. Purdue just needs to continue to do what they're doing. They're playing great defense and hitting their free throws. IU needs to be careful on defense, we have so many players in foul trouble. The only bright thing I see in going into the 2nd half as an IU fan is, we always play one great half and one ugly half. This was IU's ugly half.
  10. But that says it though. The Yankees may not have the best staff in the league; I'll agree with that. However, their rotation and bullpen is still at the least top 6 or so. If you put that together w/ that lineup. It's pretty pathetic if you can't win it all.
  11. Mussina, Kevin Brown, Vasquez, Contreras, Lieber, Rivera, Flash, etc..... Worst in the league....
  12. Very bad start by IU...w/ 12 minutes to go in the first half...Leach has 2 fouls while Kline has 3....They need to stop going man to man if this is the case.
  13. If the Yankees can't win the WS w/ this team, this would be the biggest choke in the history of the sports.....Forget Steve Bartman and Grady Little.......If you can't win w/ Jeter, A-Rod, Sheff, Giambi, Williams, Posada...etc...Come on now, it's ridiculous. No team can compare to that.
  14. Wow congrats.....IU and Purdue (Round 2) is about to start!
  15. ESPN has this scrolling across their bottomline. It just seems there's much more proof to these rumors, unlike those Boston rumors of recent months....
  16. I have this really strong hunch that this time could be it though....Friggen' Bankees...Do they know anything about loyalty?
  17. MSU gets the victory, 69-58...It's Tom Izzo's 100th conference win. They're now 8-3 in conference.
  18. Michigan State is starting to get hot and getting the crowd behind them....They're up 58-53 w/ 6:30 to go....
  19. Ha, no joke........I just can't wait until I can see the ground again. Maybe in another month the weather will start to show some real promise.
  20. Welcome to the board! Yeah, they have been getting a little full of themselves lately. The name Steve Bartman puts them back in their places though. If Maddux signs w/ the sCrUBS...I blame this all on that ATA commercial.... ATA :fyou
  21. I think they at least go 2 or 3 rounds, I'll have to see who they end up playing. However, I agree. They haven't really been tested; their only true tests were Gonzaga on opening night, Boston College (that's a stretch), and Dayton. I don't blame them for that, but it'll be interesting to see what they do in the tourney against more tested teams. St. Joe's has done pretty well w/out having any kind of height, that should change in the tourney. Another note....Minnesota is up on the road at Michigan State 31-26; however, there's 3:25 first half. Minnesota looks to revenge the loss they had against MSU were they were up 18 at the half.
  22. Hope it's a great one, elrockinMT!
