I took this right after Jonnie Struck out Tejada on one of the sickest pitches he's made in his career....... He's a humble man, and wasn't jumping around like a goofball like Carlos Zambrano does quite Frequently.... this picture is the background of my computer... and will remain so for awhile.

1. Robin Ventura 2. Jon Garland (im not a bandwagon jumper - ask Mario or Jason who has had Garland love from day 1) 3. Mark Buehrle 4. Carlton Fisk ( I was around for the end of his reign, but i love hearing stories about him) 5. Frank Thomas 6. Paul Konerko 7. Keith Foulke 8. Jack McDowell 9. Ray Durham 10. Scott Podsednik/Aaron Rowand/ Juan Uribe (still early but they have a chance to be wayyyyy up there)

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 12, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) Valido is our numero uno SS prospect so this is not good True..... But our SS in the bigs is only 25 years old, a dandy with the glove, and the best 9th hitter in baseball..... so dont worry too much -
I came up with Pod Squad a couple weeks back.... and it was shot down do to the fact that the Padres Cheerleaders or whatever are the Pads Squad.... I am original pod squad inovator...just so yall know.

Timo with and INF single.

I would really like to see Neal go down to charlotte and get stretched out and starting again.... too bad we have no left handers down there worth their weight.
-
from what i've heard from my sources.... Corwin has finally gotten his head on straight in regards to his conditioning and his in between start work. again i heard.... that when he was lighten it up a few years back, he took his conditioning for granted.... it looks like he has learned his lesson. Power lefties are hard to come by.

The Yankees are 6 games under .500 the worst they've been since 1995. What do you see them doing with their 200 million dollar payroll? I kinda hope they blow the whole thing up and start over, however with players with 8,9,10,25 million dollar salaries i dunno how possible that is. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.... they very well might even still win the world series but who knows.

Honestly, youd think that after watching guys in professional sports do simialr things and ruin there careers.... youd reconsider riding a motorcycle until maybe your career ended. well i spose i say that because id cherish a chance to play professional sports.... and some people take that for granted.
-
i got a haircut today, and shaved..... both firsts since the season began.... if we start losing - blame me.
-
With McCarthy waiting in the wings, i dont see spot in the rotation for Cotts and thats what he does best - Start games. I think that Cotts could be trading bait if it comes down to it - his numbers at AA were staggering.... id assume hed still have some value.

Anybody starting to worry about Konerko?
MurcieOne replied to Jordan4life_2007's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Paulie still contributes with his glove, and he will end up hitting 260 with 30 dingers... so no im not worried. -
DJ should just go "and boom goes the dynamite" and get it over with. i dont mind DJ, but i wouldnt mind seeing robin take over as the analyst and have Hawk and Robin do the games.... they would be f***ing insane.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ May 3, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) There has been ver little info on Uribe. I am worried he is being put on the shelf. Some reports have Uribe playing today, which would mean that Pedro Lopez doesnt really need to be here, considering he's 21 and still has alot to work on. Its gotta build his confidence to play at the cell and get his first hit and RBI in his first game. Lets hope he can build on that.

Just another thing, I think that alot of sox fans bought (atleast on this board) into the small, smart, ozzie ball type of thinking. I dont think any of us saw 18-7 coming.... but we all kinda saw what KW saw when he manufactured this team. Were all some smart f***ing baseball fans.... (well except Jason). I think we all kinda deserve some DAP.

I think Scotty Pods is gonna be a complete rockstar in a city who has a affinity to grinders. Lets hope.

apparently, Brain Anderson was on a radio program and said Jamie was just called up. (I read this over at WSI so take it for what its worth.) Im guessing either Urbie/Ozuna are going to the DL.... OR Their Fine and Pedro Lopez is going back down to make way for 3 catchers (A.J has a bad toe.)

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 1, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) Tommy Williams, for instance, is about a million times better than Telander, and yet, the Score let him go. I loved that guy. I hear ya big partna. I miss Tommy on the late show, he was great.
