  1. QUOTE(fathom @ May 16, 2007 -> 10:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're missing three main offensive players, all of whom have injuries that shouldn't bother them when they return. They'll be fine....there's too much talent. With the amount of research Hawk spends on the history of baseball, I have to believe this is a greatest team to ever have a slump like this.
  2. Boy this situation looks familiar. This game should still be scoreless.
  3. What kind of package do you think we could've received for Crede this past offseason?
  4. Crede's popup + Wang's sinker = screaming line drive? Please?
  5. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 16, 2007 -> 09:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By all means, I can't defend his error-that-wasn't there. I just disagree that his bat has been "s***ty" all season. You're right. Aside from a couple of weeks against the Angels and Royals, his bat has been worse than s***ty making the net offensive worth s***ty.
  6. QUOTE(vandy125 @ May 16, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Every mistake Erstad makes right now is magnified for some reason. Didn't he also save at least 2 runs earlier in the game with a nice catch at the wall? ...and he got a ton of overhyped praise like that one catch makes up for an entire season of his bat being s***ty. GP and cali tossed the bait, and now they'll hear it.
  7. So since that was a DP to the second baseman, does that count as one grindout or two?
  8. QUOTE(chisox72 @ May 16, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Especially since there has never been an outfielder in a Sox uniform that has misread or gotten a poor jump on the ball. Don't talk about Uribe's error or the fact that Crede looked back to first instead of second on the line out... Go look back in this thread and see if there were any posters baiting others by giving out virtual massages to Uribe and Crede.
  9. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 16, 2007 -> 08:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Erstad's defense is overrated, mmhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm His jumps are bad, mmhmmmmmmmmmmmm His reads aren't good enough, mmhmmmmmmmmmmm I love Erstad. How anybody could ever bash his D is beyond me. God, I hate unearned runs.
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 16, 2007 -> 08:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's exactly what we were afraid of... A low OBP hitter with little power... And as Hawk continues to talk about all the great things he brings to the club, how his grinderishnessitude rubs off on those around him, maybe it's time to blame him for the incredible display of futility throughout our lineup.
  11. QUOTE(TheOcho @ May 16, 2007 -> 08:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does the kid end up being ok? Probably, but this 48 year old man didn't so well in a dance off. http://www.courant.com/news/local/statewir...0,7688232.story
  12. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 14, 2007 -> 06:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm stuck on the color chart thing. I can't see even something to click on for a wrong answer.#24? Try clicking the V. Some of these I don't even get. the save changes to untilted? Deal or no deal? What was the answer to question #2?
  13. I think I'll head to the Smackdown tapings this Tuesday and post the spoilers just for Longshot7. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 16, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> - The reason the Snitsky promos have been airing on RAW is Snitsky may be heading over to the RAW brand to challenge John Cena for the WWE Title.(PWInsider.com) Yeah.... I could be worse. Imagine he starts a feud with Khali for the title after Judgment day?
  14. Is half a day really that big of a deal? He only threw 88 pitches today.
  15. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 3, 2007 -> 06:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> does anyone else think this ramon ortiz bubble is due to burst soon? *pop*
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ May 15, 2007 -> 05:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Last year he was damn good, and even though he started off slowly this year, he's going to be a monster at that park when the wind is blowing out. I used to think he was one of the most overrated hitters in baseball, but last year was very impressive. So was Gary Matthews Jr. Contract years can do wonders for ball players (WAKE UP IGUCHI AND DYE!!!)
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 14, 2007 -> 06:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pop the top right ice balloon, so you have something to ricochet off of, and then you will be able to bounce and destroy the stuff on the left. I was able to throw it straight up and have it set off the bombs, then I used the second to knock out the other 4.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ May 15, 2007 -> 04:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha, come on now. Their talent blows away teams like the Royals, Tampa, Baltimore, etc. They have two of the best hitters in all of baseball in Soriano and Lee, they have a good hitting catcher, a very good hitting 3rd baseman, a terrific bench, and some solid to good starting pitchers. Soriano is nowhere near one of the "best" hitters in baseball.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 15, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uh..Yankees. This isn't even a question. Why's that? The Yankees aren't a divisonal rival. The only thing tiebreakers are worth are for home field advantage. There are too many team in the wild card chase right now (and at the end of the season it will be the same) so a simple series win doesn't mean a damn thing.
  20. I think tonight he'll try and throw a perfect game because he'll be auditioning with his new team for next season.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ May 15, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only player more overrated than Angels players on this board is Anthony Reyes. How about my guy? The one second only to Johan Santana.
  22. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ May 15, 2007 -> 03:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And to sweeten things up a bit how about KW pulls a rabbit out of his hat and manages to snag Ervin Santana for Joe Crede and two of our top pitching prospects. I know the Angels have been wanting Crede for years! Okay now im just getting carried away... but i do think KW will be pretty active this offseason. Go Sox!! That would be an atrocious trade Like I mentioned in the offseason Ervin Santana is f***ing horses*** on the road. Completely wothless. He's so bad the Angels are thinking of sending him down. Erstad should not be back with this team at $6 million next year. I rather see him sign a two year, $4 million extension instead of picking up that huge option. Why do people want Grudzielanek all of the sudden? Iguchi has been better than him since 2005, and this year Grudz has a .299 OBP and .672 OPS. That's just as bad as Iguchi.
