QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So why do it when you're actually winning? Because "sox fans" like yourself have already given up on this game and handed the win to Texas?

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doesn't matter this year, I thought. The rules have been changed where pitchers can get tossed without having a warning. The first time, I thought it was intentional. The second time, I really don't think it was. Hawk really is acting like a whining baby now, by saying we should go after one of their better hitters. If they were going to throw at guys, why not on Monday night when they were down 5, and not up 5? Are you really this clueless? Perhaps it's happening tonight because we bashed their brains in Monday and beat them last night by pulling our starter out early?

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's plenty of time left in this game. If they wanted to hit AJP again, they could have waited a few innings when he wasn't leading off the inning. And trust me, with a 5-0 lead, Padilla's not going to risk getting tossed and losing out on the chance to get credit for the win. :rolly Whatever. There was never a warning issued, so why would he get tossed after the second HBP? What's Ozzie's and Showalter's relationship? Vile. But that's irrelevant.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Look at his fastball. It has that tailing movement back over the plate. That last pitch wasn't that far inside. It was the first pitch and he could afford the baserunner with a 5 run lead.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow...shut the f*** up Hawk. He's such a sore loser. That wasn't intentional...it was an inside fastball that just stayed inside. He's not meaning to hit him leading off the inning. Bulls***.

Padilla must've had the Angels in game of the ALCS.

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just a good ole ass kicking by this awesome rangers offense. Atleast we won the first 2 games. Also, detoilet is down 1-0 in the 8th so hopefully we won't lose a game in the standings. We win, they win. They lose we lose. At least I'm happy Detroit is always winning in that prespective.

Where was that pitch?
-
I hate this ballpark. Please get out of this inning already. How the hell did DeRosa get so good?
-
Looks like old horse mouth and a couple of the other rangers have gone back to whacking it on the first pitch and hitting nothing but doubles. God, does that piss me off.
-
Man, WTF has gotten into Matthews Jr, epecially against us?
-
Who did gooch ground out to and was the play at the plate close?
-
Mr. first half, Ballpark in Arlington, against RHP goes deep. Before anyone makes any dumbass "another HR givenup by Javy" post, it's only his 6th homer given up this year.

OFFICIAL GO CUBBIES THIS WEEKEND THREAD!!!
santo=dorf replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in The Diamond Club
I don't really care. I still think the Sox will win the division, and I kinda want to see an ALC team keep out either the Red Sox or Yankees. What happened to all the people who always told other Sox fans to root for "our division" when the Twins were in the playoffs? According to their logic, we should be rooting for the Tigers right now. Feel free to sweep them Northsiders, but I won't be surprised if/when your team gets swept. -
When's the last time before this season the Sox had an all lefty OF in the lineup?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who is going to Cincy this weekend? What games? What bar are we frequenting before/after the game? I am taking my buddy for a free ride, unless I find someone else cuter that wants to go. Saturday's game in RF, Sunday's in LF. Somebody at WSI mentioned at place called "Rock Bottom" on 5th street, which I think is pretty close to my Hotel (Westin, visiting players' hotel.) Look for a guy wearing a Green Buehrle jersey and green hat combo, a home Jenks jersey and/or a Thome road jersey this weekend flying around in a corvette.

Sheriff Joe's Round them up immigration policy

QUOTE(minors @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Again Liberals will say anything to hide the fact they can't beat him in a election. From what it sounds like he could be Gov of Arizona (or wherever he is from) today. Also if he supposingly an"international child pornographer" why has he won 2 elections since then and a recall plus still holding his job and nothing coming out about this, the answer these charges were BS. Just a liberal trying to get a make a create a huge story. Why are you so obsessed with election results? You sound like a f***ing political version of a Cubs fan. Face it, the guy is an egotistical asshole who likes to s*** all over the constitution, and waste tax dollars just to try and show who's boss. I also find it quite comical that you and Nuke consider murderers and people arrested for petty drug possesion to be on the same level. I wonder how many of Nuke's army buds have smoke some doob or drove a little bit tipsy before. They're all the same kind of thugs. -

QUOTE(minors @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You took the words right out of my mouth if I have nothing to hide then I could give a s***. This guy treats the murdering thugs like they should be treated like scum. No TV and no what ever food they want, no exercise equipment and no nicely cooled cells. It is time we stop cuddling and babying these thugs and maybe then we can win the war on crime. Just curious, do you think we should treat a murderer the same way we would should treat a drug possesor? Why are you so willing to give up your freedom? I thought the terrorists hated us because of our freedom. Whose side are you on? -

QUOTE(minors @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And of course he is always fighting the ACLU which make him my hero. So apparently you don't have a problem with being pulled over just to see if you have any drugs on you? *waits for the "I have nothing to hide, so it's ok" argument* That was one of Sheriff Joe's ideas laughed at by the ACLU. Some kind of hero. -
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 07:52 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can answer that one for you. Don't concieve children that you can't afford to raise. Thats common sense talking but then personal responsibility is about the only cuss phrase a liberal knows. It seems so simple to understand, but there will always be deadbeats who are too cheap to use protection, or too stupid to not care about how much it takes to take care of a child. Would you rather have deadbeats get an abortion if it was their choice, or would you rather have them give birth to the kid knowing they can't afford it and would be sucking away at the welfare system? For those that think an unborn fetus is a child, does that mean they are entitled to the rights of all individual under 18? Should a mother be able to collect more support while she is pregnant? Should one of these s***bags that we always see on Maury Povich be forced to pay child support while the mother is still carrying the child?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mark Mulder hasn't been the same pitcher since, conveniently enough, 2003. Umm, he did start the 2004 All-Star game.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 09:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By that logic you could murder your spouse in the "privacy" of your own home and say that was protected under the Constitution. You have to find where to draw the line. And unborn fetus and full grown woman are too way different things. I wonder what evil monkey's take on abortion is consider he complains about people on welfare in his signature

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 12:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That really makes Garland look bad cause he's the sinkerball pitcher and Freddy is more of the flyball type. Match the pitcher to the GO/AO (with the White Sox.) 2004: 1.25 2005: 1.38 2006: 1.07 2004: 1.35 2005: 1.47 2006: .99

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How exactly has Contreras "sucked" against the Indians this year? He's had one good outing and one bad outing against them this year. Usually above average pitchers will find a way to get passed above average/great offenses. And Detroit is an average offensive team (16th in baseball in Runs scored). His overall ERA against the Indians is 6.55/ He sucks then right? Please take not of when Freddy defeated the Tigers. It was very early in the season when they were on fire with Shelton batting somewhere in the .600's or something.
