.200 is remaned from the "Mendoza Line" to........
NUKE_CLEVELAND replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hey, remember this?!?!? Another week at this rate and credepopsup will be right back there once again. -
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 26, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) We are 24th in the league with BA with men in scoring position. The BA slide in may continues. Uribe is down to 197 in May Crede is down to 167 in May Everett is 182 in May Everett and Cruddy are in a headlong race for the Mendoza line these days. Their batting averages are falling faster than if I threw a bowling ball off a building.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) Rowand has also been less than exciting. Rowand is the least of our problem. Focus more on that black hole from the 4 slot on down. -
Did Ozzie call the pitch to McPherson?

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) Yeah I don't like second guessing, and like Jack, I would have been mad if he pulled El Conde right there... But after Ozzie walked I said becareful this guy'll swing at anything... Don't throw him first pitch fastball (which I almost always want Conde to throw)... The blame for the loss doesn't fall on Contreras... We simply have to score more than 2 f***ing runs.. 2nd &3rd and no outs should be 1.5 runs. Contreras pitched his ass off tonight and made 1 mistake. This is defenitely not his fault . You can blame each of our 4-9 hitters ( hitters is a term I use very loosely ). -
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Greg Walker probably thinks the offense is doing good. "LET THEM HIPS FLY OPEN AND PULL THE BALL SON!!!!!!!"

What exactly is Timo Perez' purpose on this team?

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) Gload, Thomas and El Duque all need spots. He will be gone within a month. There are only a few players that made me happy like that when they left..... Botch Royce K-layton Todd Ritchie. Timo is about to join an elite crowd. -
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) Lets give it up to KW for getting this great pitching staff. How about we give it up for Greg Walker instead?

QUOTE(redandwhite @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) I would have to look through all the 25th players on each teams roster, but I can't imagine anyone being worse than him. He could very well be the worst player in the Major Leagues. I dont know..........Meatball is right there with him. -

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) If our offense could do what its supposed to do, we wouldn't even be discussing this. How many runners did we leave on base tonight? Yeah.......a lot! Right you are my friend. -

QUOTE(sircaffey @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) 11 runs in the last 5 games..."It's broken...now fix it." Its getting to the point where everyone from 4 on down to 9 is an automatic out. f***ing sorry!!! -

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) I'd have to watch again to see if Count shook a sign off. I just got the impression that he was just thinking "Told ya" to whoever called it. And yeah, I'm not mad either. Not at Contreras. Lackey was very hittable tonight and we let him off the hook big time. As is the case with damn near every other pitcher we face. When the f*** is someone besides Pods and Gooch gonna hit something? -

I'm not mad at our pitching.......its our offensive offense that f***ed us tonight as it usually does. God forbid Pods or Gooch goes down because without them this offense would never score another run. -

QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 26, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) Cotts takes a lot of heat on this board for a guy with a 3.38 ERA. Cotts is a garbage time pitcher. You put him in there when we're leading by 1 or 2 and watch the brown streaks appear on his pants. He f***ing sucks. -

QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 26, 2005 -> 08:13 AM) Can't we replace REAL with ONLY? They have been the only team in this town for some time now......at least the only one that cares about winning hockey games.... GO WOLVES!!!!!!! -
...........AND MANY MORE!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:49 PM) I assumed he was looking for something more specific. I prefer it when I hear the "honorable" men and women who serve in the military or the "distinguished" policemen, etc...That way it seperates those who deserve to be called heroes from the corrupt, evil, greedy, etc... The Corrupt, evil etc.....etc...are always exposed for what they are and punished. There are so few bad apples among those groups, despite the media's blind obsession with tumpeting every single abuse whether real or imagined, that the groups as a whole can be recognized as heroes.
-
QUOTE(Steff @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:16 PM) Police officers Firefighters Doctors Nurses Add those serving in the military to that list and its....... YAS I dont know how you can put an anti-american extremist such as Ward Churchill at the top of a list of anything remotely connected to a "hero". That man is a total disgrace and deserves to be fired from his job not worshipped as a hero. I'm willing to bet the rest of those on your list despise this worm. As for the rest of the list I really have a hard time with politicians of either party being included in any list of hero's. Politicians are an insipid bunch who often place the needs of special interests and rich donors ahead of doing what's right. Thats on both sides mind you. John McCain tops a short list of candidates from that group as he served honorably in Vietnam instead of taking a cushy job or running away altogether and he paid big time by losing 5 years of his life rotting away in a prison camp.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Great win tonight. I'm still frustrated with our offense, but Freddy was indeed dominant. A healthy 6 game lead over the Twinks. I'll take em any way I can get em. Nice to see Kong with another multi-hit game & even better to see Widge come off the bench and make some noise.
