Yeah, she said we didnt have a stance on their dispute. You make it sound like she said "go invade, we dont care". Big difference.
-
Thanks BrandoFan for helping me make my point. Bottom line is that he did miss a few drills, this is pretty commonplace in the guard as I know many guard members personally, but he made them up and served his time. Yeah Bush had it easy during the war but these charges of him being a "deserter" and "AWOL" are totally absurd.

Barry Bonds trainer indicted
NUKE_CLEVELAND replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The steroid scandal in MLB is a powderkeg just waiting to blow. I think not only Bonds, but many other players are going to feel some heat from this. I've read from many different places that this is going to be huge when it fully comes to light. -
Uhh, the facts are listed in the 3 links I provided in this thread. Maybe you should read them.

Maybe this will help you. http://www.washtimes.com/national/20040211-121217-6595r.htm Or this http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/02/12/...tary/index.html

yes. His antiwar groups rantings were used as justification by a number of troops who had fragged their officers or sergeants. His group encouraged soldiers to desert their units and also was party to what they called the "Winter Soldier Investigation" in which veterans , many of which were later determined to be imposters, were brought forth to recount atrocities committed by our military. That sounds a lot like treason to me. BTW, Here's a pic of the Kerry antiwar groups sponsor during one of her finest moments.

http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/20040210-082910-8424r.htm Game, set, match. With Kerry's record of treason I can see why he is trying to slander Bush's military record.
-
What is treason? Treason is defined as "providing aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war". Isint that punishable by the death penalty?
-
Add to that the fact that he was a traitor to his country appearing at the same antiwar protests with the infamous "Hanoi Jane" Fonda and rooting for a communist victory in the war.

I hate to sound insensitive but one company does not an economy make.
-
Seems to me that there are a lot more fights and brawls this season than in recent seasons past. I wonder why that is? As a fan of the rough stuff myself I certainly am not complaining.
-
Basically he was saying that despite all the leftist hysteria about the economy that things are going to be alright. Not that I was worried anyway.
-
I am worried about regimes that threaten the security of this country. Afghanistan and Iraq certianly qualify and they were dealt with in due course. BTW did Iraq not defy international law when it invaded and raped Kuwait? Did it not violate international law for the 12 years between the end of the Gulf War and the US invasion? Did it not shoot at our aircraft that were enforcing a UN mandated "no fly zone" in the north and south of that country? Had it not been for U.S. "aggression" back in 1991 Iraq would own both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and with them the majority of the worlds oil supply.

This was a scream. On some humvees we use for patrolling there is a gunners hatch that rotates around allowing the gunner to shoot in all directions. One day we got a new private in to our unit and we told him we needed to take the turret off to fix it. We told him the way to do this was to keep turning it to the left until it came up and off. After an hour of turning the turret in circles the guy caught on but that was after the rest of us were laughing hysterically and taking pics of this poor sap.

This cartoon says it all about this clown. Demagouges like this have no business taking the reins as Commander in Chief.

Gammons changed his mind, now thinks...
NUKE_CLEVELAND replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Gammons is an idiot. Who cares what he thinks. -
That is totally bulls***. Bush was not the only one who thought Iraq was loaded down with WMD. Al Gore, Bill Clinton and numerous Senate Democrats spoke about the problem of WMD in Iraq. The only thing different about Bush compared to all them was that he acted on his information. If your like was in charge the Taliban would still be running things in Afganistan and Osama Bin Laden would still be knocking down office towers full of people. The price of action is always far less than the price of inaction.

Way to make an intelligent argument. You disagree with the man fine but you make yourself sound stupid when you make personal attacks like that.

Mariotti nails one on the head.
NUKE_CLEVELAND replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I can deal with that. I went to see the Wolves play and had a great time. They played tough, spirited hockey and won the game 4-1. I spent a total of 50 bucks on myself and for that I parked, got my ticket, ate and got this kick-ass Chicago Wolves baseball cap. You cant go wrong like that. -
Nothing

http://www.suntimes.com/output/mariotti/cst-spt-jay10.html This says it all. Props to kotex boy for finally writing something worth reading.

Scott Sullivan? I went to 10 games last season and every time I saw him pitch he walked a lot of batters and gave up runs and was booed off the field more than once. Am I missing something here?

If you dont trust the tap water then go spend some cash on a Brita filter or something but spending all that cash on bottled water is plain stupid.
-
I'm sorry but anyone who would part with 1-3 dollars for a bottle of aquafina has their wires crossed.

I always get antsy when its this close to the opening of the season. I cant wait.
