Well the Red Sox and Yankees aren't exactly the best fielding teams. If it was Marinerss-Twins the defense would be better probably, but it's not like the playoffs automatically makes better fielders.

Godfather 3 was not bad. It wasn't as good as the first two (incredibly high benchmarks), but it's still better than a lot of movies, especially thirds in a trilogy. Major League 2 was terrible, they took out all the swearing and the funny stuff, it was just a weak effort.

it was alright. they estimated 4,000 people there, there were a few fires and a lot of chanting YANKEES SUCK. someone set off an M-80, one kid jumped off the dining hall and broke both of his legs, and then the cops came in and swept everyone away with tear gas. here's the genius that jumped off a 20 ft high DC onto a brick walkway.

last week's A's-Red Sox game went against the Colts-Bucs. We were too busy rioting to see the Colts' comeback.

Oh yeah, that one has been in heavy circulation lately. Old Navy has always had stupid commercials. The people in them are annoying as s***, they make me hate the franchise.

Now, I love football and the National Football League as much as the next guy, maybe even a little more. And much has been made about the parity of the NFL, how wonderful it is that everyone has a shot. But as a result, it has become tougher and tougher to distinguish a good team from an average one, an average one from a bad one, and a bad one from the Chicago Bears. It seems nobody likes a dynasty unless it is your own team, and the closest thing the NFL had to one lately was the Rams for a whole year and a half. The talent gap between the best team and worst team in the league is really not that wide, there seems to be a lot of average teams. This is unlike sports like baseball and basketball, where the best teams are easily recognizable early on. So where am I going with this, well, watching the Yankees-Red Sox and Canes-Noles today despite the crummy outcomes was still something to be pumped up for, because I knew they were matchups between the upper eschelon teams. Looking at the NFL schedule, I don't nearly as excited. Should I be geeked about Panthers-Colts? I really just can't be. These are the same Colts ended last year with a blowout loss in the wild card round to the Jets (who are now 0-4), the same Panthers who started 3-0 last year and proceeded to lose 7 straight. Don't get me wrong, I'll still watch whatever's on. There just seems to be less and less to get excited about. The 49ers-Cowboys matchups of the early to mid-nineties seem like decades ago. Does this bother anyone else, or do you not mind the blatant randomness? Does it make it somehow more interesting to you?

Miami-Ohio St. was one of the best college football games I have ever seen. I don't care, I hated both teams. It was a good game but it wasn't like I was glad OSU won.

A Cubs-Yankees would be a perfectly s***ty ending to a year with matchups like Miami-Ohio State, Buccanneers-Raiders, Syracuse-Kansas, and Spurs-Nets. The only even remotely compelling was Devils-Ducks and the Ducks wound up losing anyway. Looks like I'll be ignoring another championship.

What I mean is, they always start the season in the top 5, they always seem to recruit a top 5 class, but they can never beat Oklahoma and they struggle with A&M and Tech. They've been in two Big 12 championship games under Mack Brown and they've lost them both.

Remember Mike Piazza? Remember how when Clemens hit him he was lying on the ground for a while, and was on the DL for a while? I don't seem to remember Zimmer bolting out to scream at Roger...

Thanks, I actually watched the first half and the first five minutes of the second half and I had to get away from it. I knew eventually they would make it a game but I was getting so pissed off I had to leave or I was going to explode/implode. That was the worst half of offense I've ever seen that team play. Plus there was the punt they had to redo because a miami fan had blown a whistle, and the next one got blocked. There was the accidental onside kick, which may or may not have been caught in bounds. Rix continues to frustrate the hell out of everyone, and I wonder how long before the players call for Fabian Walker. He is just so inconsistent. There's no way anyone can say this team is overrated, however. They started 12th in the polls, and they worked their way up by winning games. This defense had only given up 37 pts in 5 games (only 3 touchdowns) and despite being put in awful situations the whole first half, they only gave up 12 points (one TD was a miami INT). They are why this team will succeed, but they can't win with a half like they got out of the offense. But this team is still one season removed from five losses, I will give them a little leeway when it comes to beating Miami. If we beat Notre Dame and Florida, win the ACC and get a BCS game I'll be happy.
