  1. You're right about being able to judge, what people know. What I said was no dig on you or Jason, I just think it's dumb to single out the "two most intelligent". And anyway I think cw already declared his monopoly on moderating the forum if it ever comes to fruition. Yeah that pick was wacky, I thought the same thing about the Nebraska-Mizzou similarity. Except with Nebraska, he kicked it on purpose so it shouldn't have been a touchdown. I wanted Missouri to win that game so bad, Corby Jones was the s***. And yeah there's no way Ill St takes out Illinois. Just not happening. Although didn't you guys lose your fullback for a couple games? I thought he was one of your best players.

One of the tour dates on their site says: Sep 18 2003 Worchester, MA @ The Palladium Headliner: Poison The Well with Dillinger Escape Plan, Further Seems Forever, Eighteen Visions Worchester? Are they f***ing retarded?
  3. No. I don't care about who moderates a college sports forum. But you called them the two most intelligent college sports minds here. I'm not saying they don't know alot but there's other people here who I think know as much or more.
  4. What does that have to do with anything?

  6. From watching bits and pieces of two games tonight, two names to remember: Vince Wilfork, DT, Miami; the man is a monster. One of the best DT's I've seen in years, just dominant. Reynaldo Brathwaite, RB, BYU; he's not very big, but he has great vision and makes the right cuts (once in a while he makes too many), very shifty runner. He'll be a good one.

  8. honestly i dont care what description i have as long as it's not JR. MODERATOR. especially considering im not a mod anymore. Why not? Just because I said you'd make a good mod Well I hadn't been around the last week or so, and with school coming up I prolly won't be around as much. So I figured if I wasn't gonna be doing a lot on the boards, I might as well not be a mod.
  9. Wells has always wanted to be a Yankee. He hated being traded from there, he went back as soon as he could, and he worked harder than he possibly ever has just to be able to stay there.

    Help me out

The team was called the Bulls. JTS comments: http://www.jumptheshark.com/f/1standten.htm
  11. Ichiro is still hitting .327-11-49 which is stellar for a leadoff hitter, and he's already scored 95 runs and stolen 30 bases. Plus, defensively he's the best right fielder in baseball. I think he's a legit candidate.
  12. the surgery scene in that movie...ugh. so graphic. blood squirting everywhere and some guy tryin to grab a blood vessel etc. :puke

i thought capn12 was Captain Obvious.
  17. Well yeah when you do the recruiting and your team has 4 or more stars you're gonna get some pretty stellar teams. I started a Dynasty with UMass, went like 2-10 the first year, couldn't recruit s***, 4-8 the second year, got a couple people, 8-4 the next year, recruiting was a little better, won the national title (by then I was up to 4 stars, had started with 1) and still nobody wanted to go there. Next year I made it back to the title game and lost. Went to Oklahoma and got a ton of blue chippers, except UMass stole the reciever I wanted.
  18. NCAA is only easy if you play it on junior-varsity or something or play OSU vs Middle Tenn St. Last night I played as San Diego St vs San Jose St on All-American and I lost 27-24 on a last second field goal. Game is not easy, but it is realistic and the gameplay rocks.

    Romo

haha it's alright. It has potential. The coach sucks, the linebacker is boring and his story is uninteresting. It's weird seeing Omar Gooding as a druggie running back (remember him from Wild and Crazy Kids? What, I'm the only one?). That whole story is interesting with him competing against the old guy. I liked it when the big fat lineman started tossing s*** all over the locker room, he's a good character. I'll prolly watch it again, but not something I'd plan my night around.

And as much as I dislike Shockey at least the guy is only talking. I have yet to see him beat up an ump or anything like that. I think he did get in one scuffle with a teammate during training camp last year. I also got to say I'd love Shockey on my team as long as he doesn't go out and beat up girls, or jump his teammates or take out an ump, etc. The fight with a teammate during training camp last year was b/c Brandon Short wanted him to sing his college fight song before a meal. Shockey wanted to wait til after the meal, but Short kept insisting. So Shockey stood up and said "Brandon, this is for you!" and started to sing until Short jumped on him. And I am pretty sure Shockey wouldn't ever lay a hand on a woman, considering how much he loves his mother, who raised him and his brother singlehandedly.

Romo spit in J.J. Stoke's face a few years ago, he's done a lot of stupid s*** over the years to get fined. Something like $49,000 total. Shockey did not a flip off an ump, or a ref, he flipped off a 49ers corner who said "no f'ing cracker is gonna catch a ball on me." He chucked a cup of ice backwards when he was on the bench, and he happened to hit a couple kids. But he had them come into the locker room after the game, apologized and signed a couple balls for them, everything was settled.
  23. Ha, if you are talking about the runaway politicians that hid out in a hotel to avoid redistricting, that was hilarious. Chickens*** tactics, and they got away with it. Otherwise, forget I said anything.
