"Available" players mentioned on ESPN.com

Carlos Lee for Carl Pavano? Where do I sign up? -
Let me tape you so we can make a sequel to Jackass. Did anyone see that movie? The guy made a piss snow cone and ate it. Absolutely disgusting!
-
Then what would we do in CF? I like Rowand out there and he is out best option. It would be nice to have a guy like Hairiston leading off, but I think Uribe is just fine at 2b. Harris is a little too streaky for me.
-
Neither, give me Pavano.
-
He is jsut trying to start crap. His arguments don't make any sense at all and he is showing nothing to back them up. This quote right here says it all: Ozzietheairedale OUT!

We also received Cotts in the trade for Koch. What has Fogg, Wells, and Lowe become? They have not done all that great since their first year there. Wells is ok, but that is it. Granted they are all better than Ritchie. KW has also admitted to making a mistake with that trade. Wells was bad? Buehrle credits him with teaching him how to pitch. How is that bad? Colon trade was bad? Why? Alomar and Everett trade was bad why? Not signing Gordon actually gave us an extra draft pick that I thnk we used on Gio Gonzalez, is that correct? Plus we signed Shingo instead. I didn't mind that at all. Uribe trade is bad? How? Without him in the first couple of months where the hell would we be? In regards to Maggs, it takes two to tango. that's hilarious.

maybe it is not maggs, maybe it is his agent Money can make a lot of people dicks
-
I would rather have both. I don't think anyone is more excited over having Garcia than Maggs. I think everyone would like both. I think we are pissed off that Maggs said at the beginning what he would settle for. Now that we have offered him just that he is not signing? Because of one year of deferred money? Garcia was looking at around 10 million per year however he is settling for 9 million per year. Why is that? Why would someone that has spent 1 week here with a team take less than he expected to stay here but a player that has spent his entire career here keeps looking for more and more and won't do anything to help get a contract done. He won't budge an inch. That is why I thnk people are sick of this situation with Maggs and are excited to see Garcia come aboard.

I don't know how much we are paying Hairiston, just going by what Bruce Levine said. According to Bruce we are also paying Julio Cruz until the year 2030 or something like that.
-
imitation is the greatest form of flattery. For that I thank you.
-
How can you possibly come to these conclusions without ever seeing him play with yuor own eyes in 2003? Just wondering.
-
I just heard him on the score and espn 1000 before the game. He seems very happy for Freddy. I heard that the last year of the 5 year deal that is currently on the tabel would be deferred either 5 10 or 15 years at 1 or 2 percent. That is the holdup. Sounds to me like the agent is holding it up more than Maggs is. Either way Maggs would get his money, the agent wouldn't be. By the way did anyone know we are still paying Julio Cruz and Jerry Hairston because of deferred payments. That is what Bruce Levine said anyways.

Chicago lord of trade: Williams has Sox in hunt
southsideirish replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would agree with Wells but Fogg and Lowe have gone way down hill since the trade. I don't even think Wells is anything special, but he is a hell of a lot better than Ritchie. Plus we gave up WAY too much for a pitcher with a 4.47 ERA in 33 starts. -
You say "exactly" and right back you go. Move on.
-
Thank you. Time to swoop in and take on stud pitcher that is only 25. Come on Kenny!
-
Will he still be cheap after his next arbitration hearing?
-
I agree. The voting process should definately be addressed. If this is the way fans are going to treat it and approach it then it should be taken away from the fans. Or make it so the player with the most electoral votes gets in. That way we are assured the best players will never play in the game.
-
If I absolutely had to choose from that pile it would be Meadows. The rest are not very good.
-
Well I think he should be and he should be moving to the White Sox. NOW DAMNIT! I thought I remembered his name being brought up earlier in the year. Maybe I am wrong about that, but I could have sworn it was. How much longer can the Brewers afford him. Isn't he arbitration eligible and going to be making tons of money?
-
It was in no particular order. Sorry for the confusion. I was just naming the staff.
-
I would do all except the Jones/Ortiz deal. I want Maggs instead of either of those two. What would it take to get Ben Sheets from the Brewers? That guy is a stud who just keeps getting better. Sheets, Garcia, Buehrle, Loaiza, Garland. WOW! I would give up just about anything to aquire that guy.
-
damn, isn't that what I have been stating?
-
Does Ken Davidoff not work for THE ASSOCIATED PRESS? How credible of a source is he? Just wondering.
-
My fault. I didn't know. I thought he was hitting his head because we could then sign Maggs with another daughter. Please forgive my ignorance on the subject being beaten to death.
-
Steff, are you rolling your eyes at my statement? What is wrong with what I said?
