Sounds like there may be some issues between you and the SCORE.

Historic WS FA Signings
It may have been a easy quiz but it's still an interesting fact. Maybe Krause focused on the wrong sport later in his career.

Historic WS FA Signings
Best trades... Lamar Hoyt for Ozzie Guillen. It was almost like the White Sox knew something about Lamar. It was perfect timing. Hoyt's career was imploding and Ozzie's was just starting. QUIZ: Who's the White Sox scout who's often given credit for finding Ozzie Guillen?

Historic WS FA Signings
The best has to be Carlton Fisk. That was a huge moment in White Sox history. Greg Luzinski was an awful big deal too but I can't remember if he came as a free agent.

Randy Johnson Trade Rumors
Nothing makes sense about this deal so why do all the so-called pundits keep saying it makes sense. Meanwhile I have to be in court in eight hours so I'm going to bed. Somebody call me if we sign Clement in the middle of the night. :sleep

Randy Johnson Trade Rumors
From rotoworld.com... ESPN's Jayson Stark believes the three-team Randy Johnson may not get done because it was contingent on the Dodgers being able to re-sign Adrian Beltre. If he's right, then the breaking news was old news, because the deal would have had to have been agreed to prior to today. For the Dodgers, this deal only makes sense as an extreme effort to free up money, which would then have to be used on a star. Carlos Beltran would be a viable alternative to Beltre, but it's unclear whether the Dodgers have had any talks with Scott Boras about him. Dec. 16 - 11:07 pm et

WSCR reports on Clement
I understand these arguments but part of the attractiveness of Clement is his "stuff." People aren't looking to pay him $8-10 million per year based on his past ERAs, their looking to pay him that because of his "stuff." Garcia on the open market would garner more clearly as he has great "stuff" and a good track record. Eric Milton on the other hand...

WSCR reports on Clement
Actually no. Prior to the CLee deal my understanding was that we still had about $3 million in the 2005 budget. With the CLee deal I think we are pretty damn close to $10 million in budget space.

Matt Clement Update
I am cautiously optimistic on this. But, that being said though I want Clement I do think there are other options out there if we don't get him. I'm actually more worried about the psychological condition of White Sox fans. If we don't sign him it won't be for lack of trying so let's all prepare ourselves for the worse and when the bad news comes sit back and realize that there is still two months until pitchers and catchers report. There's still plenty of time to find that 5th quality starter.

New Randy to Chicago talk
Remember though that the Diamondbacks will get a crap load of salary relief from any of these deals. It shouldn't be necessary to sell the farm.

Where was KW yesterday?
Of course, Randy lives in Arizona too.

New Randy to Chicago talk
Obviously. But, they can't have either one.

New Randy to Chicago talk
I'd be ok with... Garland, Marte, Everett, and a prospect who is not Sweeney, Anderson, BMac or Gio Gonzalez.
-
New Randy to Chicago talk
That would dramatically change my opinion.

New Randy to Chicago talk
I have to agree. This is ridiculous.

I might be crazy
Perfect example. Can you remember the last guy we had who could do that, prior to SPod? It's been awhile. Lance Johnson?

I might be crazy
I agree with you accept in the rare case of a guy like SPod. There are a couple guys (SPod included) who are almost impossible to throw out. It takes away double play possibilities negates the need to sacrifice a batter (i.e., via the bunt) and puts a runner in scoring position early. I also think it can set a tone early in a game, even at the major league level.

Renteria to BoSox 4 years, $40m
You ever see Aaron play shortstop. KW didn't trade Aaron Miles for Uribe because he didn't like Miles. He traded Miles because he knew we were short of shortstops in the organization. Whether you agree or not the White Sox at least last year were still confident in Willie Harris. Hell, I don't know why I'm arguing with you. Stay pissed, life's long and full of time to see the light.

Yea, kind of like Juan Pierre... Are you kidding me?!?!? The guys here in Colorado have screwed up their talent evaluations for years.
