My point is (was) (I THINK I'm writing in English) is, that if the Sox could improve their team AND still stay within their financial means (and NOT an "artificial" budget) that they owe it to their fans to do so. I THINK I posted articles that show that one of the principles of the Koran is that "infidels" (Non-believers) need to be converted or eliminated. Thank G-d that MOST Muslims do not strictly adhere to this tenet. BTW...the war(s) that Jews are currently fighting are because they are under constant attack by radical ISLAMISTS, Christians being attacked in Bethlehem by radical ISLAMISTS, etc. etc. etc.

I remember this little tidbit...back in the 80s-90s, Kirby Puckett was one of my favorite players. The year he came up for free agency, the Sox needed a CF and publicly claimed interest in acquiring Puckett. After he re-signed with the Twins, JR announced that the Sox had made a strong offer(s) to try to sign Puckett. Subsequently, in an interview, Puckett said that he had NEVER been contacted by anyone from the WhiteSox organization. Would JR lie? It's called "spin". White Sox Never Pursued Prior I spoke to my White Sox source today, and he was able to offer up a little bit of information. Remember this tantalizing tidbit from Gordon Edes's January 15th article for the Boston Globe? "Would you believe that the White Sox were hovering on the fringes of the Tejada trade talks, not because of any interest in Tejada but in the hopes that if the Orioles peddled him to the Chicago Cubs for ace Mark Prior, they would have been willing to flip Prior to the crosstown White Sox in a package?" Not so, according to my source. The White Sox never had designs to acquire Prior, but they truly did make various offers for Miguel Tejada.
