Game 2 with KC (s/b Win 2 over KC)
Now lets see the offense get some runs.

Kris Honel
He's probably only going to miss one start. I just hope its something that will clear up and he'll be feeling good again. Hate seeing Wing and Honel down.

His shoulder has been bugging him.

BJ Upton won't play against the Barons
You never know...I know the BoSox and Yanks are really good teams, but the Drays have some pretty solid players themselves and a hell of a manager. They do have the best manager in the division.

How is my guy Jason Strumm
He's going to finally get a heavier work load this season so we'll see if his arm holds up.

Konerko for Perez
I like Konerko and I like Perez. Right now I'm happy with the Sox and I don't think any trade is necessary, at least for the time being. If I were to acquire anyone, I'd try to acquire another middle infielder or a good starting pitcher. I just don't see any real good pitchers out on the block right now. I don't want to see the Sox get a mediocre pitcher, because I think Wright and Scho can easily be that and both have some upside.

Oh ya, Bullard and Ulacia combined for 3 scoreless innings in the Barons game

Sorry
I was just kind of lost. Was pretty tired when reading it. Was at work and had a loan file on my mind (luckily).

Arturo Moreno
When Moreno threw out the opening day pitch, I just thought what would happen if JR threw out the opening day pitch in Chicago. I still think JR is a good guy, he just isn't the type of owner a FAN will love.

Thread for April 13th
Oh, noticed nothing on the Warthogs. They lost 4-3 in their home opener to Myrtle Beach. Lubisich got the loss in his season debut and the Hogs are now 0-4. The Hogs have given up 14 of their 19 runs with two outs. Nanita had an RBI walk, Lopez with an RBI sac fly and Rogowski with an RBI single. Sean Tracey and Rob Purvis will be the starters for tomorrows doubleheader.

Nice to see Phillips with a real good outing. I still think he could make a pretty good pitcher. He's really pitched with some bad luck throughout the system. Nice to see Rauch only gave up 3 hits, plus Reed with another 2 hits Maybe Kanny will get to play tomorrow. Rodriguez has to be nervous, he's been waiting to make his debut for a while (well since his injury).

Arturo Moreno
The only thing that would be better then him owning Anaheim was if he was owning the Sox. I think I'd cry
- Man or Woman Part II

Arturo Moreno
Moreno should come close to breaking even on the Angels this year as well. Plus, as a whole he is really increasing their market share and the next time a tv contract comes out he's going to get a heck of a lot more money.
-
Arturo Moreno
Plus they lose Appier and Sele's contracts from the books, which equates to 20 million bucks. So next years payroll will probably be much closer to 90 million.

Arturo Moreno
I gave the man a major standing ovation when he threw out the first pitch. The entire stadium was freaking rocking and on their feet.

How good is Carlos Lee
He has good offensive potential, but is very much a work in project. I think he has a shot, soley because a good hitting catcher can go a far way. I do think Charles Lisk is the best pro prospect behind the plate the Sox have and I don't excactly think super high of him.

BJ Upton won't play against the Barons
He'll be in Tampa by that time if the Drays are out of the race.

The New Official Post a Pic of Yourself Thread
Do they come with training wheels I just clipped mine today for the first time ever by myself. I didn't know what the hell to do, but I think I actually did it even. By clean them I mean shorten the puffiness of them. I used my buz clippers to do it. Usually I only have them thinned out when I go get my haircut.

What Happened to Aboz
Aboz is taking a little break. He's a damn good poster and a hell of a mod. He'll be sorely missed.

Why all the Homers???
Its got to be the wind.

Garret Anderson
Anderson isn't worth anymore then Maggs is. So I think their two contracts will be pretty close. I could see Maggs getting an extra million or so. I also firmly disagree with Anderson being considered the better defensive player. I watch almost as many Angel games as Sox games and without a doubt I'd take Ordonez over GA defensively. The one nice thing about GA is he can slide over to center, something I don't recommend us doing with Maggs (Although he could be alright out there).

A point to note
Year after effect is a good theory, but in Elo's case I'd throw it out the door. Its not really the year after, its just in general when a pitcher has thrown a lot more innings then they have at any other time in their career. In regards to Elo, he's a veteran and has pitched a while and his body is matured and developed. This sympton should not get him. While his numbers will likely get worse, In this case I don't think he fits in with this phenomenon.
