Game Thread #2
Elo was sick according to the Twins broadcasters. He mentioned it before the game. I guess this will start a new debate of whether Manuel should of skipped Garland. Especially if he knew that Elo was sick last night.

They are hitting, until you get two guys on.

Game Thread #2
s***...double play. For cripe sakes SMALL BALL. I don't give a s*** if they are down 4 runs. There are a ton of innings left. Get some freaking runs on the board (Like one and then you can use it to get ya back into a groove). They should of been utilizing it in the 1st (With Frank doing everything he could to get them to 2nd and 3rd) and they should of been doing it after Crede's leadoff single in the 3rd. Everett hit a line shot, but it still didn't pay off. For s*** sakes, EXECUTE.

Way to go OEO Magglio. Leadoff man aboard once again. 3rd time the charm (This is the 3rd time the Sox have had the leadoff man aboard).

Its 3 innings. This is a whole new ballgame after a play like that. Sox have 4-5-6 up and should have a little bit of life in them.

Frank isn't the MVP, Maggs isn't the MVP of this team...its Carlos. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Now go out and show people why Carlos and crush the ball the rest of the way and help lead the Sox back tonight

That could be the exact type of play the Sox need to get their butts back in this one. They have already stranded runners and walked a ton of guys in an ugly game thus far. Still, its only 3 innings. Scho needs to get out of this one unscaved and the pen and the offense will have to pick up ELO for once. Elo was ugly tonight. His arm angle was all over the place, meaning he didn't have a consistent delivery and its why he was throwing so many balls. I still don't know why he isn't throwing more changeups.

Serious Talk about next years team...
I got a good feeling, win or lose the Sox are gonna have a payroll right around 70 mill next year.

Serious Talk about next years team...
I couldn't see either shortstop getting anymore then 8 mill a year. This free agent class is supposed to be soft, money wise. Not many teams are out their saying they will spend big bucks. Their is talk the Orioles will be active and the Dodgers may be active on the offensive front. Angels are interested in adding some pitching and then of course the Yanks are always buyers.

Baseball Announced Top 10 Moments
It was an error I made when I was converting stuff from our older message board software when Soxtalk first opened.

Great job MB!!!!
Totally huge effort by Colon and then Buehrle. Sox needed the wins and they needed to give the pen a rest. Marte pitches two innings and no other reliever is used the next two days, then you get the off day so everyone should be fresh by Tuesday.

Serious talk of Alomar return
Agreed. I'd bring back both Alomar brothers and would probably see Everett go, soley for monetary reasons. Then bring back the entire rest of the team. Daubach will probably go and I'd probably lose Jose if they have the option. But he'll probably get his option to vest and we'll be stuck with him. I like Jose, but at 5 mill, thats a big hold up, imo.

dunno what to call it
Umm..our rotation is a hell of a lot better then the Twins. Now our bullpen isn't quite as good, but its definately solid.

Anybody got any extras?
Don't got anyway. Couldn't buy them since it was on a Friday and I had a test in my class.

AT LEAST 1 GM PICKED WHITE SOX
Well the reason I think Hendry is increidbly over-rated is he forgot all about the bullpen and how brutal it is.
-
Parque and Sirotka
Heck, why not bring up Wilson Alvarez who has the best ERA in the majors in the 2nd half of the season. In all seriousness, Parque and Sirotka were gonna get injured. Siro was injured because he went to Japan and Parque got injured for whatever reason. Parque was never overworked or anything.

AT LEAST 1 GM PICKED WHITE SOX
I'd say, in the playoffs, the Cubs could be tough to beat.
