  1. Lol, I do think he'll do a lot better in LA. Lets face it, he hated playing day games and he hated hearing crap for the fans. It wasn't like the guy wasn't trying, you could tell he wa trying by all the wind he was sending up to the stands. He wasn't sitting their looking at all those strikeouts. :metal
  2. If you ask me thats the A's responsibility. The Sox were being careful and shut him down as he was getting hammered. It could of simply been his arm was tired(He threw a lot of innings), maybe he complained of mild pain. I know KW would of at least told them that, if it was the case. Other then that its fair game, if he ends up getting hurt afterwards, than it happens.
  3. Fox has told the Dodgers not to add salary. Also, Brian Jordan wants out and he's requested to be dealt, which is a right he has. Plus, its not like they really freed a ton of money up. They got a good amount in return, just like the Cubs did.
  4. It could simply be that Evans is an idiot.
  5. Sweet...that will be super cool By the way Mike it was an awesome show. I caught the first hour then went out to dinner with the family.
  6. Many suspected he may be injured, but the A's approved the deal so thats up to them. I think this is a deal that helps both teams. I still think its a much riskier deal for the A's, especially if Foulke walks and they don't get draft pick compensation for him(That rule could change by next offseason and most feel it will change by then) Plus, from what I'm hearing were getting one real good prospect, and one decent one, who was a high pick(Thats Cott). I'm not sure who the other one is, but KW is saying he's a stud. No, I don't believe everything he says, but he's making some real big time statements with this prospects saying how great they are, and well, he may say guys he gets are good in trades, he rarely says they are greats, except Jimenez who was a great prospect. I like the move. Im writing a commentary write now that will be on the main page, probably in the morning.
  7. I was talking to my dad and this move makes no sense(The Dodger Trade not the Sox trade) The only free agent out their is Thomas and we know Evans has some relations to him, so we'll see. I dont' think they get him, but its definately a possibility.
  8. I don't think Dyce meant anything like this. John seems like a good poster and a smart Sox fan.
  9. Well it looks like he started listening.
  10. Also, in case people didn't get the email addie on the air, here's the way to contact them [email protected]
  11. The biggest problem is the make shift line thats their. Thomas just runs way to high. Lower himself and he will fall forward when hit, but he always is getting hit backwards.
  12. There's a reason he won the Reliever of the Year award for the minor leagues....he's pretty damn good. Who cares what round he was drafted in? Mark Johnson was a 1st rounder...he's no Mike Piazza, is he? Speaking of Piazza, wasn't he drafted in about the 38th round of something? Well one of the minor leaguers was a 2nd round pick. I liked Valentine, but he did get beat up and may of even of been injured when he played against the best competition in the AFL.
  13. Any dropouts or skipping? should sound similar to real radio if you have a good connection. Its sounding SCHWEET
  14. Alot of people liked the toad Ritchie trade too last year buying KW's "veteran starter..... innings-eater" BS. We shall see. I remember a lot of people liking that move and I was the one person who complained about Kip Wells being in that deal. Baggio complained about that too. Most others were talking about how great Ritchie was. I didn't whine about Lowe and I liked Fogg, but I didn't whine about him. Lowe failed, Fogg was decent, but would never of done anything with the Sox, and I don't think he'll be anything other then an avg. player on a bad Pirates team.
  15. He had decent numbers last year in A ball. I don't know if this guy is for sure in the deal, but from what I've heard he's one of the players. He's a 22 year old lefty, turns 23 on March 25th. 12-6 with a 4.12 era. He made 28 starts and pitched 137.2 innings of work. Our ISU expert, Heather the Redbird will give an indepth scouting report when she's done with work. I'm looking forward to reading it Heather
  16. I'm gonna dig up some info on the one minor leaguer they are saying we acquired. So far they haven't listed the name of the other and I'm guessing its because he's not on the A's 40 man roster. His name is Neal Cotts.
  17. If I had known that we could of at least been agreeing on something for the past year. He lucked out on getting Odalis Perez for Sheffield, but I'll give him credit for that, but man oh man, Brian Jordan sucks. I don't even want to get started when it comes to talking about what they gave up to get Shuey. They gave up their two top prospects for a mid reliever.
  18. I go for the Thong or the G string, hell ya.
  19. Lyman was playing damn good too. The hell with Baxter. I like Davis, Lyman and I like this new guy Gilmore. He's a rookie out of Penn State whose pretty good. Damn, this is the 2nd time Lymans torn the ACL too, it could be career threatening cause its hard to come back from that surgery multiple times.
  20. Thats for sure. Personaly I say good riddance to Thomas, I hope we trade his sorry ass for a second round pick and draft a good running back. We'll all see Leon Johnson and Adrian Peterson do something decent on the ground. Thomas has terrible vision and runs way too upright. Plus, how many f***ing times is he going to catch the ball wide open and then do his best James Allen jump and jig impression and end up getting stopped short of the first time. Take advantage of Thomas's name and go draft someone good.
  21. what'd he say? Michelle was the one who informed us of the deal that was going to go down. She reported it and then Soxnet reported it on the main page as well. Many didn't buy into it because they didn't find it on the main stream sites, but hey, chalk this up as a win for the smaller sites. I guess many at other sites ripped into the rumor, but hey, thats their perogative and I think we all know Michelle was right!!!
  22. Damn..thats interesting, but also a great move for them, big time. Dan Evans blows.
  23. I'd just like the mention the only reason they are named ptbnl is that you can't deal a minor league player that isn't on your 40 man roster until late December because Minor League Rosters are frozen. That means that this guys could be real good prospects, they could be AAA and then again they could be terrible prospects in Rookie ball, but just cause its a ptbnl, it doesn't mean they stink, thats just the case during regular season trades. Man, I can't wait for the Winter Meetings cause I think thats when the next deal goes down, the one that gets us our starter.
