QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) LINK Ok, this is just bulls***, in fact, it needs to stop being posted (not aiming at you, BS, but this kind of s*** is just over the top nonsense.).

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 03:17 PM) It's Open Mic Day on MSNBC. WOW! (Some language here, so be careful) The voices are Mike Murphy (Republican political consultant) and Peggy Noonan with a little Chuck Todd. Church Todd: "Was she really the most qualified woman?" Noonan: "no... I think they went for the political bulls*** about narratives". She added: "It's Over" for McCain. I tend to agree. This is backfiring, hardcore. But then, we'll see after tonight. She's going to have to hit not only a home run, but she's going to have to hit an 8 RBI grand slam, which I think it just about impossible, eh?

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) psssh... RSS is soooooo 2 months ago. ReloadEvery for FireFox is the thing now. Ah HA! Your secret's out.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 11:34 AM) McCain had criticized earmarks from Palin You're just a f***ing anti-McCain MACHINE. I don't think an RSS feed can spit this s*** out faster then you can post 'em here.

Not to totally derail the thread, but exactly what ARE RSO's accomplishments?

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 11:10 AM) telecomm stuff? Something. I don't know exactly, but there's a crumbling skeleton in his closet, because there's no way that McCain was going to take all this abuse for solely a female on the ticket.

Two things: Pawlenty has something in his backgound that was going to get hammered, even worse then what we're seeing now. Second, I said this yesterday: Palin is to McCain as Harriet Myers is to GWB. They need to replace her TODAY. However, it's too late for McCain. This is his blunder that the RSO group was looking for.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) I still wish Fred Thompson would have been our nominee. Its too bad people would rather be dazzled versus having some solid policy discussions and the like, because Thompson had by far the best ideas and the most substance in this campaign cycle. I agree. He more closely aligns to what I think a president should be. But for whatever reason, he had his head up his ass for the whole campaign.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 05:07 PM) Government to the rescue has saved up a lot of pain. OH OH... You've convinced me that our government is our hero. No more greed, no more capital markets. No more ingenuity, no more creativity. No more garage sales, no more goods, no more anything. I will just wait in line for my handouts. I deserve no better. Boooooo hooooo! I've been brainwashed!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) There's already rumors of them dropping her off the ticket. If they do that, Obama wins by 20+ points. -
QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:40 AM) Let me see, what is the media going to cover more? Protesters or members of the media arrested and pepper sprayed and treated like protesters? I think that police tend to be a little heavy handed in general during conventions, and many of the protesters that you hear about are pretty ridiculous and deserve a lot of the treatment they get. The Donna Brazile story is odd, because she won't comment on what happened that got her pepper sprayed in the first place. I meant it in the way that stupid stuff's going to happen, across the board. I do think, though, that the GOP convention will have more crap happen because they're the ones with the White House right now, and people hate Bush.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 09:14 AM) Let's be honest, anybody who cares about the issues has their mind made up by now. The rest of the campaign will be dictated by gotcha bulls*** so if the other side wants to play this game I'm down. This is why democracy is a failed concept. Is it now? -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:48 AM) I'm really surprised. Google "Barack Obama birth certificate" and be prepared to laugh. IIRC, it orginated with a completely made-up B.C. claiming Obama's religion listed as Muslim, that he was really an African citizen, etc. Then there were demands from the right wing blogs for "proof" that Obama was eligible. So he produced an abstract of his B.C. from Hawaii, but, of course, that wasn't good enough. They had "proof" it was a fake (even though the State of Hawaii said it was accurate) and they are still claiming its just all made up. There's even some nutjob Clinton supporter in Philadelphia that's sueing over the issue (Barack isn't eligible and Hillary should be the nominee). You also didn't mention the "Whitey" tape the right-wing blogs all claimed existed a few months ago. Supposedly, there was a tape of Michelle ranting about "whitey" at Trinity. Of course, it never actually surfaced. Just like all the dirt that was going to come out on Obama at the Rezko trial. I'd say just about everyone here on Soxtalk sees right through that sort of garbage, but there's plenty of people that eat it up and pass it along via chain e-mails and crappy blogs. Ugh. I hate this stuff, I really do. Even if it's against my pal, RSO. There's plenty of issues to take him down, not this stupid conspiracy crap. -
But which gets more media coverage? What gets talked about more? Meh. It's expected, sadly.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) And the Rezko thing too, where all that's known Obama did was make a legal transaction, and his name never came up in the trial or anything. That hasn't stuck either. Exactly. I think RSO got special treatment, but I don't give a s***. All the political jackasses get special treatment, so it's pretty much even s***storms there, IMO. -
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) DOH! McCain Memo Accidentally Leaked on FoxNews.com DOH! What? RSO campaign does this on a daily basis as well. So what?

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) I dont think you have any idea what it's been like being a Barack Obama supporter since about March. The Whitey Tape, Rev. Wright, birth certificates, Ayers... its a never ending stream of smear from the right. The Democrats fight back a little for all of 36 hours and not only do they get huge results, but an absolute trail of tears flowing from the land of the Right. It's not a smear, because honestly, none of it's stuck. Rev. Wright - that was RSO's own doing, not the right wing. He stepped in his own s*** spot on that one. Birth Certificates? WTF? That's just stupid, and I've never heard of it. Ayers - ok, let's face it, the guy worked with RSO. Period. Closely at that. Yet, no one can prove a thing there, and so that's all the further it's gotten, so what? It's not about "fighting back". It's about taking the high ground, something neither party seems to know how to do. I'm sick of the "gothca" bulls***. Let's just stick to the issues. -

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 10:06 PM) what do you mean? I dont follow. By the way: It turns out Palin run a 527... ya know, the ones McCain hates. She also relied heavily on earmarks... something McCain hats. DOH! Of course she did, because it was her only way up at the time. So what? When it got her to where she needed to be, she then pretty much threw a hand grenade in the whole thing. If she were still tied to it, obviously she wouldn't be where she is. I get this - it's going to be every f***ing thing that's wrong with the world is Sarah Palin and John McCain to all the leftist bloggers. There's still a lot of this to be played out yet, and we'll see where it goes. I heard someone say that Sarah Palin is to John McCain as Harriet Miers is to George Bush. You Democrats can only hope. -

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) Actually, there are reports that McCain has dispatched a group of "vetters" to Alaska to do research n her past. Something you do... BEFORE you pick the VP. It just shows me more every day that they picked her as a political stunt. There's a lot more to it then that. A lot. Let it play out for a few days. -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 08:17 PM) LMAO LINK Again, do the Democrats really want to go there?
-
And, it's September, and they're in first place. Good place to be. Let's get to the end of the month where we begin it...

We have to shovel the poo against the wall to see what sticks - ala GOP and RSO's middle name. Unfortunately, it's our political system, and it sucks.
