  1. Ramos off the board. San Diego grabs Carrillo and Ramos.
  2. Jason, Ramos from Long Beach is still on the board. You think he'll last through the supp round?
  3. Winston Salem should become a very interesting team in the next couple of weeks. It's a possibility that they land three real solid pitchers in Broadway, Gio, and Liotta. Or, am I off on Liotta?
  4. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 05:20 PM) Baseball America is 16/16, amazing Make it 17.
  5. Baseball America's final projection has been DEAD ON so far. 13/13
  6. Correct on the mock draft pick! Hooray! Eat it, Dan!
  7. My brother is telling me BA is 9/9 in their selections so far.
  8. Two SS's in a row for Colorado, with Nelson and Tulo. D-Rays grab Townsend.
  9. Mariners select Jeff Clement, C, USC. Yay! Not goin' to the Sox!
  10. Arizona Diamondbacks select Justin Upton.
  11. Jason -- since you get a lot of San Diego news, is Sandy Alderson going to have a hand in the Padres draft yet, or will that not happen until next year?
  12. Here we go... Let's make this draft one to remember!
  13. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) lmao, Rasheed McCants now is the cousin of Maybin. Good to know I'm not the only one who said to myself, "It's pronounced, Rash-ahd."
  14. Yeah, Jim, I'll do my best. Before it starts -- lots of people like Cliff Robinson, the UofI catcher, going to the Sox in round four or five? Can anyone talk about him a little bit? Good defensively? Bad? Power guy? Plate discipline?
  15. White Sox advertising on MLB-radio... Nice, good pub!
  16. Randar, I'm not having any problems with the MLB.tv, but I suggest using the MLB-radio, 'cause I don't think you hear the conference call with MLB.tv. Hearing Tommy LaSorda every year brings a smile to my face.
  17. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) The Sox have always been a fan of projection in the first few rounds and taken those kind of guys later. McCarthy, Buehrle, Sirotka, etc. Now, granted, it hasn't always worked out well picking either early, LOL... Wells was a hard-thrower, Parque was a control pitcher. Pitching is just a roll of the dice either way. Randar, are you in the against-taking-Carrillo camp? I thought that's what I read over at WSI, but I can't be sure...? And, so long as nothing crazy happens (like Justin Upton falling to #15), who do you want the Sox to take?
  18. Jim, good points on Broadway. With the success McCarthy has had, I imagine that the Sox will be drafting a lot of those type of guys, ones who pound the strikezone and have low BB totals. 40 minutes...
  19. This is from BA on Broadway:
