Of course I'm all for having Reed get the job in the bigs. But I think we should let him stay at AAA alittle longer. If he's still tearing the cover off the ball by May/June, then he gets his shot. (That's if A-Row is hitting .300 or better)

Willie has also been my surprise as well. The other surprise has been Mike Jackson's stellar pitching for our bullpen. He got out some tough hitters during our 8-4 span and he has held on to leads or kept the game close for us.

That's what I'm hping for cause I want Cotts in the rotation but that's just me. Regarding to Jas' post on the proposed pickups, I would not mind having Figgins here. He has shown he can hit and play solid D. Almazega would be perfect for an ideal leadoff. Swich hitter, has speed (which can compliment Willie) etc.. but he has to hit better. He is really struggling in AAA even though he can take walks (4 wlks with 4 [now 7] k's) He has a s***load of potential though which a chnge of scenery could do wonders for him like it's doing for Uribe so far.

I saw Simon in some of the eagles games and he would be perfect in this system. And he is the missing ingrediant to what the bears nned... a DT. Here's a Draft Report on him which was in that rumor.. An inside player with thick legs and good strength. Physical. Has an impressive combination of quickness, power and athletic ability. Tough run defender with a quick first step and the ability to pressure gaps. Leads with his hands. Plays with good leverage and balance. Gets tied up at times, but he fights the double team well and holds his ground. Moves well laterally. Good inside pass rusher. Keeps his feet active on his charge. Spins in control. Good at getting his hands up. Shows a strong closing burst. Had some shoulder problems early in his career.

Or Maddux has the Cubbie Curse and A-Rod has The Red Sox Curse from not going to their team.
