  1. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) The sox with some great opportunities to jump ahead of the Tigers and f*** it all up. Great f***ing road series. It's a long season - they are not playing very good right now. They just have to right the ship and start playing like they can - it's not hte end of the world.
  2. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:51 PM) I agree completely. I feel bad for him totally. Throw the baseball and get people out. Is nobody accountable anymore - a player screws up and management gets blamed. How many 'f*** Ozzie' comments have been made this year already - our only saviour in the last 90 years. Of course Kenny is gonna get his too.
  3. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) well you sure cant give up 7 runs in the final 4 innings Or 8 in the last 2.
  4. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) what happened?! Not much - just a 3 run homer, followed by a triple - both hits on hanging change ups.
  5. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) we truly have a terrible f***in bullpen, besides jenks. :headshake Let's hope Brandon brings his 'A' game into this one.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) Can anybody in our bullpen other than Jenks get somebody out? We're about to find out
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) 2 on...either JD is clutch or we are in trouble. The must be bringing in a right hander here.
  8. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) We're down 2 in the 7th, Gload a lefty who never plays is facing a lefty. Why not a pinch hitter? I had the same question.
  9. Time for some hitting - only got 4 hits tonight - at least we got Kong ready for a pinch hit role.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) Gotta pray the Tigers lose again Well at least the Yanks wiggled off the hook for the moment.
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) Apparently Verlander doesn't pitch the same to the Sox and Yankees as he does to the Royals. 6-3 Yanks. After the Jiambi blast, he has thrown 8 straight balls to the next 2 batters.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 26, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) He was mediocre in Milwaukee in CF, his closing speed is the only thing keeping him from being pathetic. No doubt you take the good with the bad. Trouble is, the most used word describing Anderson lately is the 'p' (pathetic) word. If you added Podsednik's center field defense to his hitting and compared it to Anderson's center field defense and hitting, which would you take? Of course this would only be worth conjecture if Fields shows he can crush at the major league level.
  13. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 26, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Pods in center is a scary thought. Please make it go away. My main problem with it is the time it would take for him to readjust. Now that he's had plenty of reps in left he reads the ball off the bat fairly well. I don't see him having a problem with center. Except he would take bad routes for too many games.
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 26, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) The game was over the minute we had to rely on Uribe or Anderson to drive in runs. I love it when DJ and Hawk keep harping on how the sox dont expect them to hit. I am sure when KW was dreaming up this season that he though you know what, Uribe could hit say 180 and Anderson could stay around 160. Yeah f*** the fact that picthers in the National League can hit better than both of them, they play great D. Trust me guys, the minors are filled with guys who have the most electric gloves and moves you have ever seen, but the guys cant hit. If Anderson continues to struggle and Fields makes the adjustment to playing in left in Charlotte, maybe we'll see Fields in left and Pods in center before the year is out.
  15. QUOTE(greg775 @ May 26, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) Remember a few years ago when Toronto was one of our nemesis teams? They always beat us like a drum. I used to travel 250 miles every year for 10 straight years to watch it.
  16. If I didn't know better, I'd think Cliff is scared of the Blue Jays
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ May 26, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) In my opinion, the main reason the Tigers are better than the Sox so far is that Granderson has been real solid for them, and Anderson is disgraceful. I vote for the team ERA, which I don't have at my disposal, but I think is very telling.
  18. Hard to believe they only got 1. At least from now on, it will not be the 1st inning for Freddie.
  19. These guys can hit. Garcia has to pretend he is someone else in the 1st against these guys.
