  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) Nice play by Crede. Hunter doesn't seem nearly as fast as he used to be. Batista has one thing in mind here. Nothing new there.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) THOME!!!! It didn't even seem like he got all of that. I guess he didn't - only 405 ft. this time.
  3. 16 straight games - new record to open the season - was there any doubt?
  4. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) Perhaps he can just go out and plow over Santana. Works for me - might as well put that wresting expertise to some use.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) Time to scrap and claw and cheat or do whatever to get a run. Surely Pierz has something up his sleeve.
  6. And he is throwing fewer and fewer pitches per inning. :headshake
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) I just told a friend of mine that this game is going to be 0-0 until the 59th inning when Crede hits a walkoff homer. After Pierzynski sneaks out to the mound and pulls Santana's pants down.
  8. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) Heart of the order! It's THOME TIME!!! One pitch is all we need.
  9. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) Without a doubt. They didn't even look at that many pitches.. Typical reaction by the Sox after not getting much done against Santana - they start getting anxious. Must.....stay.....patient.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) Am I allowed to root for Johan to break his wrist? No problem - I've secretly hoped for worse.
  11. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) im making a bold predition. brian anderson will strike out tonight. I wonder if he will have time to swing twice on the same change.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) Whenever I see other teams hit him hard, they always jump all over his curve/slider. Very interesting.
  13. Amazing to see him struggle against other teams.
  14. Not good - he has his change up going in the first inning.
  15. Seems to me Johan starts off every year a little on the cold side. Whether he is on a hot streak or not, he is one of those pitchers that you really want to be productive against in the 1st inning. I'd like to see the Sox be very patient against him in the first. See if they can get a couple on and make him pay - before he gets that changeup of his going.
  16. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) It sure was my merry drooge. A real tap it was, it was.
  17. I only have the game on MLB Audio - Thome's hit sounded beautiful.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) Inning? Score? My typing skills can't keep up with Buehrle outs - 2 gone in the top of the 8th - no-one on - Sox up 4-2.
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) Ya never know. I wouldn't mind seeing Boone in another LOOGy situation today. How about Mark straight into Jenks
  20. Beautiful pitching there to set up the DP - one more Mark.
