QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) What time tomorrow do you think numbers will start rolling in? This is a pretty cool map that you roll your mouse over to see each time states close.

The Democrat Thread
An independent GOP group has been running an Obama / Rev Wright had pretty heavily recently. It ends with "Barack Obama... Too Radical... Too Risky" I'm I reading into it too much by using the word "radical" when referring to a black preacher and black candidate that it's pretty blatant race baiting? Why not too extreme?

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) What time tomorrow do you think numbers will start rolling in? The first polls close at 5PM central in Indian and Kentucky, but they wont be reported until 6PM when the rest of the state polls close.

State by State Prediction Poll
QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) My prediction? Obama - 329, McCain - 209. A comfortable win, but no landslide for Obama. Technically, 329 is not a landslide by historical standards. Between 1944-1996, only Carter in '76, Nixon in '68, Kennedy in '60 and Truman in '48 have won the presidency with LESS than 329 electoral votes. And, only carter in '76 finished with less than 300. So, since 1944, most elections have been significant electoral college margins. 2000 and 2004 seem to be against the historical trend. But based on the last two elections and how the states break down, if Obama gets 329, it's a landslide.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) Axelrod thinks they're "gravy" votes. I tend to disagree with that: but I do think it's a tremendous advantage nonetheless. I would disagree as well. BUT, something like 19% of all early voters are first time voters. (I think I read that somewhere). That's a staggering number. Those 19% could be considered "gravy" in the sense that Obama would probably win, by a very close margin, if only those who voted in 2004 voted. But with new voter turn out, it's a huge Obama advantage.

State by State Prediction Poll

Via Politico: UPDATE: He used the wrong numbers. "23% of the total electorate, 2.6 million people, has voted". Actually, the article says 2.6 million have already voted, that's 30% of the expected turnout. Based on those numbers, the expected turn out is 8,666,667. Far easier to overcome.

GOP - Obama Win Could Lead To Second Holocaust
QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 03:21 PM) I couldn't make out 'jewish' on the scan, and didn't want to assume that's what it was. Now that that is said, what's your problem with the ad? and you see no problem with saying a candidate could cause another holocaust? They just "happened" to use a picture of him speaking in... GERMANY?
