  1. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Nov 6, 2008 -> 11:28 AM) I think the Democrats will take at least 1 out of the 3 remaining contested seats. There will be some serious shenanigans that go down in Minnesota and the more I read about it the more I have absolutely no clue how the Martin/Chambliss runoff will go. Alaska is a crapshoot. I think the GOP will get MN and GA. MN is VERY close, but in the end I dont think a recount will be enough. As for GA, they wont have the Obama machine to get out the vote for Martin. But I might be wrong. Maybe they bring back the GA machine for a final push. As for Alaska, I think Begich wins when all the votes are counted. That will be a break down of: Dem - 56 Rep - 42 Ind - 2 (Caucus for dems) So, a 58 - 42 majority.
  2. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Nov 6, 2008 -> 07:13 AM) In Alaska, Stevens is ahead by about 3300 votes with everything but Absentee/Provisional in. There are between 60K and 75K left to count. 15% of that is from Juneau apparently, where Begich won by a 2-1 margin. If there really are 9000 votes there, he could conceivably close the gap there and we could see a recount in Alaska too. What In The Hell Happened in Alaska?
  3. AP reports Obama takes NC. Per MSNBC: Obama - 364 McCain - 173 1 electoral vote outstanding in Nebraska.
  4. uh oh. White House is getting a little snippy over this Obama thing: Barney just bit a Reuters White House reporter. This is all in good humor folks. But the story is true. On a side note: Is there a way to buy stock in dog breeds? The moment Obama picks a dog for his daughters, that will be the most popular breed in the US.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 6, 2008 -> 09:14 AM) Then why couldn't she name a single newspaper she reads? What's so complicated about that? Fox News reports that during her prep for the debate... she didnt know Africa was a continent... she thought it was a country.

  8. QUOTE (Steff @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 03:16 PM) Interesting, entertaining.. I agree and I can see why. I just hope it isn't dwelled on. oh of course not. We'd never dwell on stupid things on these boards.
  9. QUOTE (Steff @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) IMO, while entertaining to many, this stuff is so irrelevant. I just think it's interesting to see the behind the scenes stuff.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) I really dislike the idea of keeping that notion around that Democrats can't be trusted on defense and they need a GOP type daddy to take care of them otherwise the mean military will hurt them. It's not that at all. It's really to help with the transition during a time of war. Not that they need "help". It's more like they want him to work closely with his possible replacement.
  11. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 01:39 PM) No No No No... this state needs her and Obama knows that. for the love of GOd leave her here

  14. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) I hope Bob Gates stays on as Secretary of Defense. There was some discussion that it's possible he'll stick around.. if only for a few months.
  15. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 01:30 PM) The vote total difference between Obama and McCain now exceeds that of Bush's victory over Dukakis in 1988 when Bush won roughly 440 electoral votes if I'm not mistaken. Bush - 48,886,597 Dukakis - 41,809,476 Difference - 7,077,121 Obama - 63,378,953 McCain - 56,035,435 Difference - 7,343,518

  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 11:32 AM) gentleman, I watched it last night. Her boobs are too big, makes it urealistic. Basically Russian troops ring the doorbell ask to use her phone. The rest "snowballs" from there I had higher hopes when it was first announced, but the 1 minute preview I saw was pretty bad... even by porn standards.
